Velento Rentals Management

The Seahorse Cabana has a private swimming pool which is shared with the Hidden Gem and the Sea garden Cottage and it also has access to our private dock and beach area at Palmetto Beach just around the corner from this cabana. This new single family home sleeps 4 and has a Queen Bedroom, 1 bath, Queen Futon in the living room, modern island finishes with hardwoods throughout, high vaulted hardwood ceilings, full kitchen, washing machine, Air Conditioning, ceiling fans, Flat Screen TV/DVD, city water, veranda, free Wifi, and a shared large swimming pool that is shared with our 2 other properties. We have another property one road over that we have built a private beach area and swimming dock with lounge chairs, large palapa, incredible view of the ocean, swimming area, and sea access. This home has a lovely garden that stays in bloom year round attracting lots of hummingbirds, butterfly's, and fireflies. This home is located only a 3 minute walk to the ocean down a short sandy path or you can take the main street into town. This property has 2 other small cottages within a gated property.
We have child carriers, cribs, and highchairs upon request.
For convenience, we also rent bicycles as this is a great way to explore the island for $5 US per day. There are no cars on this island. We rent golf carts, recommend to reserve in advance. We have sea kayaks, and canoes free for your use as well at Palmetto Beach where you can swim or lounge by the sea. Be adventurous and explore!

We had a wonderful stay at Seahorse Cabana. We enjoyed the cleanliness and beautiful tropical landscaping. The bed in the bedroom was comfortable. I didn't suffer any hip, neck or back pain which is common for me. My sister found the futon mattress comfortable as well.

Great property and hosts. Great communication and recommendations before you even set flight. Clean, safe, private property. Full kitchen was a must have for me and was put to use daily. Availability of the bicycles was perfect. We used them everyday. Staff was readily available when needed. Private pool was clean and nice. Had a great time!

Lovely house, poor communication

We liked the cabaña and overall facility, however we had a rocky check in experience. The house is clean, well equipped (though no med kit), and very comfortable. No information was given via email or text about where to check in, so we proceeded to the location of the house. The gate to the facility is always locked, and no gate code was given. We spent a little over an hour locked outside in heavy rain before the grounds keeper, Johnny, rescued us. While locked out we re-read all communications we’d received and called and texted Tim and Debbie, but never heard back. After getting inside we found out they’d expected us to check in at the office (located at Weezy’s) a couple blocks away. It was a great stay but wish communication about checking in had been clear and that the owners had been more responsive. All other interactions with the staff were lovely.

Not on the beach

We enjoyed our stay at the Seahorse cabana. A few things that I didn't realize when I booked. Not deal breakers but you should be aware. The unit is across the street from the airport- the airport is tiny so there are a few small planes that leave every hour or so during daylight hours. We weren't bothered by the noise. The proximity made it easy to wheel our luggage down the block to the "terminal." The cabana is a block from the rest of the resort and beach/pier. The cabana was very clean and well maintained. The outdoor areas had a great jungle vibe- definitely stock up on bug repellent. The staff was great, very friendly and easy going.

Just perfect!

Absolutely loved our stay at the Seahorse Cabana! We have frequented the island many times over the last 10 years, and this was our first stay here, won’t be the last!! This would be my top pick in the future. Beautiful, well-maintained grounds, well-appointed cabana with everything you could need to feel at home, and courteous staff always around and willing to help. Loved the tropical setting as well. 5 stars!!

Very Chill

Spent 11 days at Seahorse cabana. The unit is as you see in the pics. Very clean they even included shampoo , conditioner & body wash, was welcome. It is right beside the airstrip, but not to bad noise wise. You are a good walk too town, we grab cab's most of the time $5 US, or 10 Belize. We would walk to the (Beach) not really a beach & dock and the chairs & shade were nice. This side of the Island is windy & rougher then the other side. Went to the Split no beach that you can walk into the water which was disappointing. Was lead to believe we could snorkel, we took a tour with Nauti Time . I would go again, but the stop at Hol Chan was very busy they should limit how many tours they let in at a time. We did see alot and the tour also emails you pics & video no charge!We also would spend late afternoons by the pool The grounds are kept very neat, they come by every day and rake. If we needed anything we just talked to Beyonce, or Victoria, both very friendly and helpful. If you can visit the (not so secret) Secret beach. The water is calm , there is nothing there so bring towel, water and such. Was worth the cab ride! All in all we had a very relaxing time, If you are into lot's of action go to San Pedro.

Very nice

You must have a bike or rent a golf cart for this location which is worth being away from the city noise. The airport noise is not much. Lovely accommodations seems new. Very large. Check out iguana reef for a beach. You can enjoy any resort’s amenities. The leeward side is nicer for beach swimming due to the sargassum.

Take me back!

This was the most perfect place to spend a week or more. It was comfortable and clean with everything you needed and more provided. We enjoyed the pool and the nearby dock where we spent a lot of time. The location was perfect and we loved the quiet bike rides home at night. Would love to stay here again.

Nice place

Overall it is a nice place, we had the whole three house complex to ourselves for all but one day of the stay. We didn’t mind the shortish walk to the main strip, but getting a golf cart taxi ride with our bags was very nice.

Beautiful Property

The Seahorse Cottage was perfect for us! The location is near the airport (not loud). Within the group of cottages, Seahorse has the best location, a tropical oasis right next to the pool! The cottage was immaculately clean, prettier than the photos. The bed was super comfy, excellent pillows, towels and linens. The management company was very efficient and we rented bikes from them. What a fun island to bike ride around! Definitely recommend Seahorse Cottage for your Caye Caulker visit.

Lovely quiet spot

Seahorse Cabana was perfect for us. We enjoyed the quiet at night since it is a bit removed from the busier part of Caye Caulker, but it's a lovely walk home in the evenings. The grounds were more beautiful than in the listing, the apartment kitchen well supplied with dishes and so on. We loved the pool and our little deck to sit on in the mornings with coffee! The dock was great for swimming off, too. We would stay here again!

Home Away from Home

My wife and I really enjoyed staying here. It was quiet, peaceful, and, well, tranquil. We especially enjoyed the pool daily, which we didn't expect to do. The team taking care of things were great, we got what we needed quickly. We will plan on returning when we can!

Quiet and relaxing

This property is well maintained, clean, in a quiet area and great for relaxing. Located just north of the Caye Caulker airstrip and just south of the “downtown” area of the island this property offers a private area to just get away from everyone and relax. The pricing is good for what you get (free paddle boards, kayaks, and a private pier on the ocean). The cabin itself isn’t on the ocean but it’s a short walk to get out to the pier to just sit and relax or jump in the water and do some snorkeling. 5/5 would recommend.

An amazing, quiet & friendly place

My wife and I spent an outstanding week at the Seahorse Cabana. From start to finish it was fantastic. The onsite concierge, Randy could not have been friendlier or more helpful. The onsite managers, Don & Nazle were just a WhatsApp message away if we needed anything. The place was clean; the A/C worked great; the kitchen was well stocked except for a large pot, which Nazle quickly brought us so we could make Belizean stewed chicken; the pool was refreshing and clean AND the WiFi worked there; the WiFi at the house was great. We took the kayaks and the SUPs out. It was nice lying on their dock. Our air conditioning unit broke (not anyone's fault--it is the tropics, after all)----and Nestor (the helpful and amanzing fix-it guy) worked hard to successfully install a new one quicker than we thought possible. Couple of FYIs if you stay: it is across the street from the airport which was NO problem---the planes are infrequent and don't fly early or late bring bug spray---the critters were bad on the deck and at the pool rent bikes from them---which we did for the week. they have nice beach cruisers and we were easily able to quickly get all over the island when we come back to Caye Caulker, we will definitely be staying with them again.
