After driving around for an hour someone finally returned our call & messages and arranged to meet us. We had almost given up & were going to go home. The phone number that was with the booking was supposed to be a helpdesk with the operator being anything but helpful. We had a look for help at the property but could not find anyone on two separate occasions; we were also astounded to discover that the accommodation was in the middle of a wedding venue and NOT the wedding we were attending. "We paid a premium price for a very standard room. Double bed with hard pillows. Very dated in the decor and furnishings. I was disappointed with the whole experience. Set menu for the evening was very pricy and was underwhelming. Breakfast was what saved the day, nice ingredients, great selection. Staff were friendly."

" We stayed for a night. Excellent support from James. In a quiet area and nice and clean room with comfortable bedding. Bathroom a bit small but clean and had all facilities. John Lewis tower fan was so essential for the night as it was hot. Ty James. "

"Manager very attentive upgraded rooms because of an issue with air conditioning. Small fridge would have been a bonus but everything we needed in all our rooms, extra water and condiments in hallway. Fresh fruit was a nice touch. Restaurant was 10/10. The only disheartening incident was being refused Scottish bank notes, it is legal tender, definitely not the welcome we expected. Scotland is still part of the United Kingdom."

"Convenient location and clean. Easy checkin with the key available from pub across the road. Had unusual single cup kettle and coffee maker and good selection of teas and coffees. Lights and bathroom tap were on timing sensors and both were a bit annoying particularly the tap when you were trying to fill a jug for the kettle. Bedclothing was a bit tired and there were only 2 fairly flat pillows on a standard size double bed. The thing I really didn’t like though was the musty smell of bedding...
