"Great location, good size all round, good shower, well equipped kitchen (inc. washing machine & detergent), comfortable, quiet, parking great, good value for money."

"Really comfortable and big enough that my whole family could sleep comfortably."

"Loved this cottage , had everything you needed , pub next door very handy , we took our grandson to lightwater valley and the forbidden corner approximately 20mins by car to both destinations already looking to book again"

"Lovely quiet area. Nice that there's only four lodges. Wild life is fabulous. The lodge has everything you need for your stay, plus the added bonus of TVs in the bedrooms.Great that there is no mobile phone signal, so it's very relaxing even though there is internetNot too far into Masham for groceries. Our only criticism is, and it's personal preference, is that the sofas are a bit to low for us.The dog loved watching the rabbits and squirrels. Will visit again"

"A very quiet location in a rural area, ideal position for visiting towns in the area such as Hawes, Leyburn etc. The cottage overlooks fields and stables in the distance, there is a lot of wildlife, rabbits ,squirrels, to see along with the owners ducks, chickens and two cheeky dachshunds. We found the best Coop for supplies was to be found at Masham not far away with easy parking."

"Nice cottage although miles from anywhere. Pub nice and friendly."

"The cottage was lovely with many traditional features. Lovely views. Enough local amenities for any stay, plus you get to see lots of horses!"

"Great location and lovely cottage. Very comfortable. It has been perfect for my needs. If I could suggest any improvement, it would be to change the upstairs bathroom matting as it’s looking discoloured and dirty. This is the second time I’ve stayed here and I will definitely be back "

"Beautiful property in lovely surroundings. We will definitely be back."

"Great location with great walks. Cottage was outstandingly clean and comfortable, the welcome pack was a lovely touch. Would definitely stop at this cottage again."

"lovely property in a good location."

"The property was very comfortable and in a fantastic location for walking. It stayed cool during the very hot weather. The only problem was that we couldn’t get the car charger to work and this was one of our reasons for booking the property. There were no instructions for it."

"Lovely cosy cottage with great views Excellent facilities in the kitchen . Close by Richmond ,Hawes, Leyburn.Would definitely stay again."

"We had a lovely stay at The Old Barn, it’s well equipped, quiet and dog friendly. The parking worked well, we have a 4x4 and a tow bar mounted bike rack. We also appreciated having a secure shed for our bikes. The neighbours are friendly and made us feel welcome, we are planning to return to the cottage to explore the area further. My only comment is about recycling as we couldn’t find a recycling bin. But we did locate and use the local recycling facility, which is at The Reeth Dales Centre."

"Beautifully clean cottage in an idyllic setting. The house was lovely and warm when we arrived, which was very much appreciated for a chilly weekend, as were the fresh milk and delicious biscuits. Fantastic walks all over, every one of which our dogs loved. The cottage had everything we needed. A very well equiped kitchen, and we were happy to see for the first time in all our rentals, proper Gin glasses! Large, quality wine glasses too. In fact, the cottage was equipped with quality...

"Angie is a lovely warm welcoming lady , nothing was a bother , only staid one night as was having a meal in the Fox Covert next door which is really great place , The cottage was a propped cottage feel , and could sleep upto 6 but was only the two of us , proper kitchen and shower n toilet was compact but everything you needed , lovely place to stay and will be back , also location is good for all local amenities and local attractions, Thank you "

"Immaculate and cosy home. Quiet village, friendly pub, ideal jumping-off point for exploring the area."

"Cottage in a beautiful area, cottage nestled in the heart of an unspoilt village. Cosy, well equipped, private and a perfect little bolthole."
