Sobre esta propriedade

It’s a great fit for boaters, anglers, hunters and anyone who wants a quiet getaway with small-town charm.

  • Creekside two-story home just up the hill from the Cathlamet marina and an easy walk to downtown. Two bedrooms, two baths and a loft with a pull-out couch, so it sleeps the whole crew. Enjoy private creek access, a covered front porch, an upper deck with river views and a private back deck. There’s plenty of room to park your boat or trailer, and deer often wander through the backyard.

This is our family home we return to each year for the great PNW summer season. Seeing as we're in another time zone, we utilize a third-party host and we have the utmost faith in them that they will care for you and tend to our home the same as we would. We hope you enjoy our home as much as we do.

Tucked up the hill from the Elochoman Marina in the small Columbia River town of Cathlamet, this home puts you in a peaceful, walkable corner of Wahkiakum County. Stroll downtown to explore the local shops and cafés, or walk to the marina in under two minutes.
Birnie Creek runs along the property, and deer are regular visitors to the backyard.
For a day trip, hop on SR-4 to reach the beach, Vista Park in Skamokawa, and the area’s hunting and fishing spots. It’s a quiet, small-town setting with the river, trails and open water right at your doorstep.

Guests have access to the entire home, including the decks, porches and creek frontage.

    Main Level
-Step through the front door and you’ll find the living room on your left, with a cozy dog bed waiting for your four-legged guest, and the dining room on your right.
-Kitchen: Just past the dining room is a very large, spacious kitchen that overlooks part of the backyard, ideal for cooking together.
-Laundry room: Beyond the living room, the laundry room has pet towels and a raised feeding station for added convenience.
-Hallway: Behind the laundry room, the hallway leads to a full bathroom on the left.
-Primary suite: Continue down the hall to the right and you’ll reach the primary suite, with its own full bathroom and direct access to the back porch.

    Upstairs
-Loft: Across from the primary suite, the stairs on the left side of the hallway lead up to the loft, where you’ll find comfortable sitting areas and a pull-out couch.
-Secondary room: Also upstairs, the kids’ room has two twin beds, perfect for children or friends traveling together.

Limited weekday bus service is available through Wahkiakum on the Move, with free local rides in Cathlamet and connections toward Longview and Kelso. Check their current schedule at the Wahkiakum County website before your trip.
Downtown Cathlamet and the marina are an easy walk from the home, so you can leave the car parked for shops, dining and time on the water.
To explore further, including the beach and Vista Park in Skamokawa, we recommend having a vehicle, and there’s plenty of room to park a car, boat and trailer on the property.

Be sure to keep an eye on littles upstairs while in the loft, and outside going down to the creek. We've worked hard to build a little path going down to the creek but during the muddy season it can be quite slippery. The yard itself is not fenced in and the house is close to a main road so be sure your four-legged crew knows recalls well.
While everything is accessible on the main level of the house, due to the stairs up to the loft, we do not recommend this house to those with mobility issues. There are also a couple stairs up to the front door of the house and down to the creek.
While we conduct regular deep cleans, this house is home to a dog and a cat during its off-season; if you have allergies, we do not recommend this house for health and safety reasons.
The home may include a decibel monitoring sensor to ensure that neighborhood noise levels are respected.
