"Spent 4 days here with my fiancé and two friends , and we absolutely loved it, it was so relaxing and refreshing , the property is gorgeous Only negatives i have to say , if youre bad at following directions (which i was given) you end up on a very hard to pass road and will likely get stuck if you dont know what youre doing .. if you follow the owner directions properly you get a very easily passable road (like i said , my fault not theres but just for anyone in the future that makes the same...

"My friends and I really enjoyed our getaway to Shenandoah and stay at Bear Mountain Lodge. The home was perfect for our needs. It was well stocked with utensils, and very comfortable (with lots of bear decor!). The home features stunning views of the surrounding hills and you can hear sounds of the stream below. The home has ample outdoor seating as well as indoor entertainment (games and tv). We recommend Rappahannock Cellars, which is just a short drive away, and of course Skyline Drive and...

"Everything was very clean and the views are next to none. The trek up to the cabin was absolutely breath taking also. Privacy was amazing the nature surrounding you, watching fireflies at night was one of the highlights, I haven’t seen them since I was a kid. Definitely will be back. "

"The cabin was perfect for an overnight stay. It was so secluded and the woods were beautiful. We were able to walk to the winery/brewery down the road and spent a lovely night by the fire. We were comfortable sleeping in the cabin with the windows open. The farm was very cool although the llama (alpaca?) didn't seem to like me :) The owner was amazing and went above and beyond when we left something behind. Would definitely recommend as a unique overnight stay. "

"Beautiful property, big yard, really nice space. Quick drive to the Thornton Gap park entrance. This was a great place to rest and relax after exploring the park all day. Nice kitchen, with everything you need. We had no cell reception and there is no WiFi (fine with us), so we relied on board games & cable TV for entertainment, which was plenty. "

"Our group agreed this was one of our favorite stays ever! Incredible views and amenities, and the dome is just fun (and gorgeous inside). Taylor the property manager was wonderful and helped us immediately with the most random "acts of God" problems like when a groundhog chewed through something outside. Beds were so comfortable too and it's such a perk to have three separate bedrooms and bathrooms. We had one dog with us and she enjoyed lazing around too! We've already rebooked for the fall -...

"This is an outstanding cabin. Secluded on a large wooded lot, this actual western cedar log cabin is an architectural and visual delight. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. Many quality touches and thoughtful amenities. Highly recommended."

"The property was perfect for my four year old son and my stay. We were able to easily walk to the white oak canyon trailhead which was our goal. The house had everything we needed for our stay. Nothing fancy, just country living. We went out to eat at Graves mountain lodge as well as the Bavarian Chef, and recommend both of them. "

"While a tiny bit tough to get to the house it is so worth it! The views, sunset, accommodations were all wonderful. Michelle was great to communicate with and gave me some ideas of local shopping for groceries along with a couple local wineries. The hot tub was a welcomed spot at the end of a long day exploring Shenandoah National Park! Would definitely recommend! "

"Everything was perfect. Very clean and very comfortable with all necessary amenities. Communication was great and friendly. Excellent view and great walk to waterfall just across the road. My wife, myself, and our dog loved it!"

"We stopped here after vacation in the OBX. It was a perfect way to avoid the post vacation blues. We were able to sit out around a campfire and just chill. It was very comfortable and I felt right at home. I felt well rest after a good nights sleep in luxury bedding. It's a great location and very easy to travel from I-64 to US-522, I-66 to I-81."

It had everything we needed, and was clean and comfortable. Conveniently located about 15 minutes from Front Royal where there was plenty to do; yet also steps away from a trail in the neighborhood, which intersects with the AT. We would definitely stay here again if in the area. "
