Everyone knows the Salento for the beauty of its beaches and its postcard views, for the goodness of local cuisine and the charm of its many traditions. But few may know that in the Salento is also famous for many other aspects that are revealed to visitors especially during the many patronal feasts spread inland of the peninsula. We are talking about the incredible play of light illuminations, also called villas: these little colored lights that go to cover entire buildings such as waterfalls, churches, streets and squares, forming sets only ones able to keep his eyes upwards everyone, from the largest to the smallest.
