"I have to preface this with an *. I had booked the gardener's cottage but there was some sort of booking mishap and the cottage was double booked. To their credit they gave me a room in the main house which was very nice. It was technically an up-grade and there was no charge. "The setting is beautiful. Within driving distance of the major sites. The pictures show the eclectic decor which was such a nice compliment to the accommodations. The kitchen was well equipped and the roomy walk in shower was unexpected but much appreciated."

"We came from Bray through wicklow mts to Carlow and visited Kilkenny on st patricks day. The duplex is brand new and sparrkling clean. Prettierin person than the pics. The beds are very comfortable. "This was a very lovely house, however there was an oil leak with a VERY STRONG ODOR !! This odor gave me a headache. The owner was aware of this problem because her son came over shortly after we arrived, said that they would get someone out to repair it but after 4 nights it was not repaired.. The electric tea kettle had so much red liquid sediment in it I was afraid to use it .. The liquid hand soap dispenser was almost empty in the bathroom. No extra toilet paper was provided."

"Yvonne and Peter couldn't be more accommodating! Yvonne met us to discuss the cottage. She had nice touches to make everything cozy. It was incredibly clean! We felt at home immediately! It was a wonderful base camp for Kilkenny and several other places. We loved Portlaoise and enjoyed several trips into town ( only a 10 minute drive) We loved their dogs and enjoyed spending time getting to know them. ( Our choice, they are very respectful of privacy) I absolutely recommend their place 100%!!"

"Staff is amazing. Common theme here in Ireland but these folks were great. Check in staff were helpful. Helping me negotiate the buses while parking was helpful. And breakfast buffet staff gave us great attention and to-go coffee cups without having to ask on morning two. We'd stay there again. Rooms were comfy and clean. Very walkable to this great town. "

"Limpeza péssima. Os lençóis que seriam utilizados para os novos hóspedes estavam espalhados pelo corredor. Pequeno almoço medíocre. Os scones não eram frescos, o pão e tudo o que nos serviram não tinha qualidade. Sem elevador. Não recomendo de forma alguma. "
