"This is a fantastic property. Very spacious, clean and comfortable. Although close to the main road (and easy access to local amenities, walks and beautiful beaches), it is quiet and peaceful. The kitchen is very well stocked and we enjoyed having the pool/ping pong table in the lounge. Would love to return for another stay."

"We had a lovely long weekend break in this beautiful house. The house is warm and comfortable and had everything we could need. The decor is lovely and the big dining table was great for card games as well as dining! The firepit was also a huge hit. So relaxing looking at the great views too. "Great spot for exploring Galloway. Hot tub overlooking the forest, and walks starting straight from the cabin. Wildlife all around. Note that it is attached to another cabin & a farm, so it's not isolated - but we did feel like we had privacy. Otherwise a washing machine could be a good addition. Dave & Becky were very helpful, we'd definitely come back!"

TV a bit tricky to set up for local news and difficult to remove subtitles on bbc iPlayer. Bathroom a bit cold at times and not on same floor as bedroom and lounge. In need of some painting to upgrade. Otherwise very convenient for all amenities."

"This was a great break in a gorgeous property. Everything was as described, including the facilities and location / proximity to the beach. I had no concerns about the dogs in the garden with the high and fully secure fence and all rooms were spacious to accommodate us. This was our third stay in Southerness and most certainly the best property we have stayed in. We will be back."

"Had a last minute change in travel plans and luckily this place was available. So happy the travel plans changed because this spot was incredible. Ginormous house with everything you need. Stream running through the property and incredible views. If we ever return to Scotland this will be at the top of the list of places to stay."

"The lodge was in a great location for visiting all the local areas. It was comfortable, really clean & well equipped. So much nature to see just at the lodge, lots of bunnies and birds & some inquisitive cows 😊 we had a wonderful stay & would definitely stay again in the future. Also the book-in and check-in process was seamless and communication was great from the host."

"Park Cottage is set in a lovely location in Cally Woods (so many great walks and cycle opportunities). Also with use of the Cally Palace Hotel facilities including the swimming pool. However the house was unclean, especially the kitchen with unusable pans and not enough cutlery to sit 9 people in one setting. There was black mould on the downstairs bathroom ceiling. Such a shame as the cottage is a great space for families and could be lovely, but when I have fed back about these issues I have...
