Cozy Trio Cottages! Gorgeous Sandy Beach w 3 Homes

Welcome to Cozy Trio Cottages! Cozy Trio Cottages are 3 adorable cottages that are perfectly set up for you to make memories & relax while you reconnect w/friends & family. W/arguably the best beach in Lexington & Port Sanilac, it is the perfect place for you to make memories at! Your first words will be `wow`! We offer kayaks, beach supplies, corn hole, & more! There is both a gas grill & a charcoal grill for the family grilling days!

-Dog(s) are allowed but you must get permission first before you rent this cottage. The dog(s) must stay off of the furniture, on a leash when outside, feces picked up and treated for the prevention of fleas and ticks. Please sweep up/vacuum dog hair and dispose of prior to your departure. There is an additional fee to bring your dog(s).
HOUSE RULES:

- No more than 6 cars on site
- Do NOT park on road or in neighbors` way!
- All furniture must be put back where it is found!
- No Shoes on while inside the home
- Quiet hours are from 11 PM to 8 AM
- Dog(s) must stay off of the furniture, on a leash when outside, feces picked up and treated for the prevention of fleas and ticks. Please sweep up/vacuum dog hair and dispose of prior to your departure. There is an additional fee to bring your dog(s).
- Please respect our neighbors by not having loud music or by yelling and using profanity (many are permanent residents!)
- Garbage must be bagged up, put into trash bins at the end of the drive way at departure.
- You must be 25 or older to rent this cottage
- Please note: RVs, tents, and campers are not permitted at our homes. Failure to comply will result in applicable fees.

Don’t recommend!

I don’t recommend this property for few reasons, first, the place is super super old! To the point where it feels like a haunted house, it’s not maintained properly, and it’s not cleaned and organized properly. Second, if I rent a place by the lake so my party and I can enjoy some bonfire time by the lake, I would at least expect the property to have some firewood or at least let me know so I can bring some, not find out the way I did where I had to drive 15 minutes to find some firewood. Third, people go up and down the stairs to the beach at night, so I would at least expect the property to have some lighting on the stairs. Last but not least, if I’m renting a house, I would at least expect to have some home essentials such as paper towels, garbage bags, coffee, coffee creamer, and things like that, well this property barely had any. This is absolutely the worst property I’ve stayed in and I would definitely not recommend it to others.

Perfect for families

We had 2 babies under 2 so it was great to have separate cabins and not wake everyone else up with these two early to bed and early to rise! The amenities were so perfect- life jackets in different sizes, kayaks, beach chairs ready to go- nice to not have to carry all of that down the long stairs to the beach. Lots of towels, well equipped kitchen. One thing- the windows needed washing- the view to the lake was obstructed by dirty windows . I squirted them off when we got there. Great play area by the bunkhouse- all our boys loved the games, hammocks and picnic tables Will book again!!

Great view!!!

We stayed at this property with 12 adults and three children under 2. We had plenty of space for everyone. The deck on the main house was wonderful and we spent most of our time enjoying the view from the deck. The cottages were clean and as described. There were plenty of deck chairs for everyone. I would definitely stay here again.

Our stay

We had a awesome time staying at the cozy trio, we had families from 3 states gather to relax, have fun and enjoy family time. The property was great! Awesome views, great size pourch, lots of fun outdoor games. Plenty of chairs down by water and 6 kayaks. The following is just my opinion and did not effect our stay at all. Wish the captains cottage had more kitchen items like silverware (wasn't a full set) measuring cups and basic spices like s&p. Could they all ended up in the main house? Absolutely however cleaning crew should make sure each cabin is complete. The stove definitely is older and the knobs are worn where you can't see the numbers. Did it effect us? NO!! We figured it out. There was not one thing bad about this place! We all had a blast.

Spectacular Place

All of the amenities were amazing and the hosts did a terrific job making the place a home away from home. Just a few of the highlights: bunk house for the grandkids, kayaking every day, bonfires on the beach, family games at the Lake House big table, the stunning deck overlooking Lake Huron and most importantly the wonderful memories created there! 5+ star rating all around!

Family celebration

We had a wonderful time. Celebrated Grandpa’s 75th birthday. Used the kayaks and brought 2 jet skis. We played games and spent most of our time on the Lake House deck or beach.

The property has an awesome beach. The children loved using the kayaks, as well as the beach and lawn toys. Water was shallow enough for little ones to enjoy! Our group of 15 had plenty of space to spread out. We enjoyed our stay very much. The view was spectacular from the deck!

The Grandkids had a wonderful time playing on the beach. It was great to have kayaks available for them to use. The setting from the deck was beautiful. Quite pricey for a two night stay though.

Relaxing …..beautiful lake views!

Our family (including adult children and 2 grandsons) had a wonderful and relaxing time at the cozy trio cottages. The cottages were well-stocked and they included many amenities such as ample chairs/lounges on the beach, along with many games and activities for young children and adults. The beautiful and sandy beach was a great way to spend our days. We enjoyed much of our time on the cozy deck, we loved it! My husband & I would highly recommend this rental for a fun family vacation spot! Don & Rocky

Wonderful getaway!

We had a great time with our family! There were 5 adults, and 6 teens (all cousins), and two dogs. The lake is stunning and the property is right on the beach (just need to walk down a flight of stairs)! We could watch our teenage kids from the deck! The deck is fantastic. And I can’t say enough about the beautiful lake —it felt like we had it all to ourselves. I couldn’t get over how private it was —not crowded in the least. We usually go to the ocean in the summers, but now I’m sold on the lake! Kayaking, Swimming, Petoskey stone hunting (we found lots!), croquet, corn hole, board games and campfires —so much to do for everyone! The kids had a wonderful time in the bunk house! My husband and I stayed in the Lake House and it was exactly as pictured. So cute, clean, and well equipped! We cooked big family dinners there and it became the gathering point for our big group. Michelle was responsive, friendly and great to work with. I would highly recommend!

Late Summer Getaway

We loved the beach, large picnic tables for family meals, lots of games and fun things to do, the bunk house was cool, the deck with a view, the sturdy set of stairs and hand rails down to the beach, plenty of seating both at the beach and at the houses. We had a wonderful getaway time injoyed by all !!!

Great Getaway

Our trip to the cozy cottages was great. I love that we had three separate cottages to allow people to have their own space, get away if needed. The owners provided everything you could imagine, chairs, floats, towels, toiletries etc. We literally just had to show up, bring food and relax! I also loved that they had a large table that was able to sit ALL of us. The other great thing that allowed us to truly relax and have no worries was the gate at the end of the drive way. We did not have to worry about our dog (or kids) running into the road. They could all roam around without any worries! We would definitely stay here again when we have a large group.

Great for large groups

Michelle was so helpful during the entire stay, we were always able to text or email her if we had any questions or concerns and she was very prompt with responding and providing assistance. The houses are so fun and create great space for everyone. They supply everything you could need for a great vacation (kayaks, lounge chairs, fire pit, outdoor and indoor games, wifi, etc). Definitely would recommend!

Perfect 3 Family location

Having 2 main cabins for the adults and a bunkhouse for all the kids was ideal. We enjoyed hanging out on the deck, the lake and the outdoor picnic/game area.

Perfect Get Away

We had a great time. We had a brief miscommunication with the property manager (the day before we arrived!!) but it was sorted out and we had an amazing stay. Just the fact that it was the day before we arrived was very disheartening. Despite the brief set back our group had a great time! The dogs loved the water and our friends/family loved the lake as well. The 3 cottages are great for allowing everyone to have their own space but be together. The deck and view is amazing. The beach is pure sand and after a few feet of pebble-like rocks, the water is all sand as well. Never had to wear water shoes. Things we brought but didn't need: Fans! There are so many fans provided, you won't need your own. Chairs, plenty, plenty of provided chairs inside, outside, on the beach, by the fire, etc. Floats: There are 3 provided floats! Also plenty of lawn games provided. Plenty of cooking pots, pans, dishes etc. Things we wish we brought more of: Trash bags. We only brought a few extra and needed more. Paper plates, only because we didn't want to do dishes every night. This place is as listed. The view and beach/lake are beyond. Firewood is an extra cost, but reasonable and was delivered before we even arrived. Overall, it was the perfect weekend.

Great July 4th Weekend

The property was excellent and very well kept. Access to sandy beach was awesome. It was super hot over the weekend, and despite the lack of air conditioning, ceiling fans and oscillating fans placed around the house kept the inside very cool. Sleeping at night with the fans going was no issue and comfortable. Easy to keep everything enclosed within the property to allow for little ones to burn off energy. Would definitely consider going back with large group.

Exactly what we needed

The three cottages were a perfect fit for our early summer getaway with another family. Our kids enjoyed playing on the sandy beach while the grown-ups got some time to read a book, explore the lake in the kayaks, and enjoy the incredible view. Having separate spaces made sharing the vacation with friends less complicated. Highly recommend this rental for a multi family retreat.

Beautiful getaway that left three generations of family with great memories!

The Kozy Trio was a fantastic getaway for our large family! The cottages were delightful, each spotless and well prepared for guests. The lake cottage was beautifully decorated and had the charm of an actual house! The kitchen was well stocked with all dishes and utensils and the bathroom was beautifully redone with real stone surrounding the shower. With one bedroom and a futon it was perfect for my husband and I and our youngest son. The deck overlooking the lake was used everyday for watching the sunrise, morning coffee, mid-day reprieve from the sun, and evening card games. It was truly the gathering place for the family. The bunk cottage was amazing. Our four teenagers loved having their own place to retreat to every night, so much so that unless we were having a bonfire on the beach they would often “retire” by 9:00pm. They loved having their own half bath and kitchenette with a microwave. I think they consumed several boxes of microwave popcorn over the week! They also loved having a screen over their door so they could sleep with the actual cabin door open. The road cottage is truly a quaint cottage. It’s two bedrooms were perfect for my mother in-law and brother and sister in-law. Its large living room area gave people a place to relax before heading to bed. With five adults and four and a half teenagers, the kitchen in this cabin came in handy...especially the refrigerator. We were able to bring plenty of perishable groceries and had no problem keeping everything cold and fresh. As for anything that people might look for in a rental, that wasn’t available here...there was an easy workaround. *Laundry machines - Spotless laundromats right up the road in either direction (Port Sanilac or Lexington) *A/C - Not only did the Lake Cottage have ceiling fans in every room, but Michele had plenty of fans in each cottage and the lake breeze made the cottages quite comfortable in the evening. *Cell Service-We notified Verizon and AT&T that we were in Michigan even though our cells wanted to connect to Canada and they noted in our accounts to not charge for international coverage. *WiFi - Coverage was spotty but if teenagers can make it through a week without complaining or even thinking about it, then it’s not needed!!! I don’t even have room to tell about the beach and the countless hours we spent in the water, swimming and kayaking! Our whole family agrees that this is a place to return to next summer!
