Serene lakefront cottage


This house, built in 2023, on picturesque Anchor Lake is the perfect getaway! Whether your plan is to enjoy a romantic getaway or enjoy family time on the lake. This place is ready for you.

And it's only an hour to the Gulf Coast and New Orleans.

As you meander down the long winding driveway you'll be struck by the beautiful lake view. Entering the house, you'll be greeted by the spacious living room that's thoughtfully designed for your entire group to relax and enjoy together. Catch up by the fireplace, and enjoy the serene lake views through the large windows and massive French doors.

The fully-equipped kitchen is complete with everything you'll need to make and enjoy a great meal together.

Each of the three bedrooms are thoughtfully furnished for a great night's sleep. Each includes a TV, high-quality linens, blackout shades, and ample storage space. Two full bathrooms stocked with toiletries will make getting ready for the day's adventures a breeze.

Enjoy the stunning lake views from the back porch and patio, or the beautiful gazebo. Take a stroll down to the lake and the boat house where you'll find several kayaks and canoes, fishing rods & tackle. Everything you'll need to enjoy all that Anchor Lake has to offer.

The lake level will be lower than normal for dam maintenance and repairs. Fishing and kayaking may be limited at times.

No fishing license required, as this is a private lake.

That everything was top of the line. The home was spotless, the beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. The property was gorgeous. I look forward to trying to go back during the summer to be able to enjoy the lake. It was just wonderful. Our host was very attentive. The view was amazing.

Awesome getaway location! My family loves this lake house. We stayed the first time for our son’s wedding last year and have been back twice since then! It is just an easy place to unwind and disconnect from life for a while and to make memories. The owners are always prompt to respond and very thoughtful. Looking forward to our next stay!

Our stay in the cottage was amazing! The owners contacted me months ahead of time to let me know the lake level had dropped and gave an opportunity to cancel but I was very happy with our stay. There is a beautiful view of the lake and sunrises. It was too cold to take the kayaks out, but it looked like it was still possible if we wanted. We had all the amenities we needed, especially in the kitchen- spices, coffee, sugar, dinnerware and cookware. We came to visit my brother for Thanksgiving and his family ended up coming to the cottage for Thanksgiving. There was plenty room for 8 of us to spend the day together. The home was decorated lovely and included cozy how blankets and fall decor. The welcome basket was a pleasant surprise with delectable petit fours! It was nice to really have a home away from home and not have to run to the store for little things every day. Can’t wait to stay again!

Really nice property. Nice roomy home and beautiful yard. The property was well stocked with all the items for the bathroom. The kitchen had everything you needed. I liked the open plan for the kitchen, dining area and living area. We enjoyed the rocker on the porch. We used the grill to grill out. Big TV in the living room with comfortable chairs. Dining options about 8-10 minutes away. Quiet and safe. Property owners responsive to concerns.

The lake house was beautifully decorated with special touches in the kitchen (Keurig pods with creamer, garbage liners, bowls for the pet) and bathroom (disposable tooth brushes with toothpaste and makeup remover). Three bedrooms with large flat screen TVs in each room. The outside ground was huge with a serene lake! Absolutely beautiful and secluded!

This has been one of my favorite bnb stays! The house was clean, well stocked, and so well decorated! Lots of extras (dog beds, tons of games, bug spray). Master bed was super comfy too. Would stay again if we ever are in the area again.

Brian and Shannon Thank you! Your hospitality is exceptional. Everything at your Serene Lake Cottage made us feel welcomed. The welcome basket on the kitchen island and the Petit Fours from Paul's Pastry were a real treat. The bathrooms had many unexpected toiletries provided. The well stocked coffee station was great.The cottage is beautiful, with quality throughout. Of course the lake view is beautiful and serene. We are so impressed that we are planning a return visit in March with my sister and her husband.

Beautiful Lake House

Wonderful lake house!

Excellent communication with host before/during/after stay. Very clean, new and modern, a cottage feel with many hotel-like amenities, very well stocked!!! Our family is two adults and two young kids, was perfect for kayaking off the dock during the day and grilling at night. Would give 7 out of 5 stars if I could.

Amazing stay

You literally only need to bring your clothes and food. They have fishing poles, trolley motor for the canoe. And unlike a lot of stays checkout instructions are to just checkout they will do the rest. But make sure you check out the whole house contents. They have way more to offer than we realized we left. Like the trolley for the canoe! Gazebos in closet and air mattresses! You won’t be disappointed in this stay!

One of the very best!

Our stay was everything expected and some! Brian and Shannon have certainly went all out on this property. It was perfect. They thought of everything you could possibly need to feel at home. A Piece of Heaven in Carrere

Your cottage was absolutely a piece of heaven on earth!! This cottage is a must stay. Everything was picture perfect from the well stocked kitchen, bath accessories and the welcome goodie basket! The patio and fireplace was very welcoming and of course who wouldn’t love the boating and fishing equipment. We can’t wait to book again. Ps: I loved the ostrich and can’t wait to get one for my home!! The Scanlans

Everything we needed, will be back soon!

I grew up going to Anchor lake on the weekends so I’m familiar with the lake and area. The house is fully stocked with everything we needed, inside and out. The pictures are accurate, the house and all furnishings are new. The kayaks and canoe are available with paddles, fishing poles, gear, life jackets, minnow trap and bucket. The minnow trap works great with a small piece of bread! We plan to return and stay longer next time!
