Beach Weekend

The host was very responsive and answered all my questions ahead of time very promptly. There was a wonderful welcome gift when we arrived and everything we needed was there. We will gladly stay at this property again the next time we come to Carolina Beach. The host was outstanding and local.

Perfect Family Vacation

We just returned from our 3rd stay at Jim & Melissa’s lovely Carolina Beach home. We can’t say enough about our vacation! The house is wonderful with short walk to the beach and all you need. Jim and Melissa are THE most attentive hosts you’ll come across. Highly recommend- see you again next year!

Wonderful place to stay

We truly enjoyed our stay and look forward to booking again. The hosts Melissa and Jim were super nice and responded very quickly to any questions we had. The location is great with a short walk to the beach and some restaurants. The house was very clean and organized and they provided little extras that were unexpected and a nice surprise. We had everything needed to be comfortable and feel right at home.

Lovely!

Quick trip to see family. Everything was thought of for us even down to a thoughtful welcome gift. The location can’t be beat. If I had to make any recommendations it would be to add a few more blankets for couch and outdoor cuddling. The AC works extra well.

Beach House

Just returned from our 2nd stay at this property and we can’t say enough! We absolutely love the house overall- super clean, comfortable beds, stocked kitchen, everything you need. The location can’t be beat- it’s in the sweetest neighborhood just a short walk to the beach with direct beach access. Melissa and Jim are gems! They are the most responsive owners and make staying in their property a breeze! Highly recommend!! We will be back again next year (maybe sooner)!!

Short and sweet trip to the beach

Gathered the now adult children and included dog on our first visit to Carolina Beach. Loved the house and the location. The beach is just a few minutes from the house and food, snacks and cocktails are also within walking distance. The house is amazingly quiet given how many people were out and about. The kitchen is well stocked and we enjoyed a few home cooked dinners as well as the pizza place that the owners recommended. On a side note, the welcome gift really cute and very thoughtful.

Easy Beach Access

Super clean, comfortable, new, nicely furnished property on the same street as a beach access and lifeguard stand, only a few short blocks down a quiet street to the beach. Very comfortable house and furnishings. The other half is occupied, but we never heard them (and I hope they never heard us!); we rarely saw them. The owner (Jim) was very responsive before and during the trip, but left us alone to enjoy our vacation. We enjoyed the arrival treats left for us, and especially the complimentary beach chairs and umbrella set up for us daily at the beach—so convenient! There were puzzles in the closet which came in handy on the one rainy afternoon. We rented an electric golf cart which plugged in right at the property’s entrance, and enjoyed touring the island, easy parking at restaurants and shops. The boardwalk was an easy one-mile beach walk; we enjoyed seeing the fireworks right on the beach near the property. The only improvement that could be made was to have porch and dining seating for six since the house sleeps six. This wasn’t a huge issue for us, since we ate all meals out, but if you plan to cook and eat at home that might be less than convenient. If you do intend to cook, the kitchen is well supplied with new cookware, dishes, glasses, flatware, knives, etc. We found the beds and pillows very comfortable, and the high quality towels were appreciated! There were even beach towels provided if guests forget to bring their own. We enjoyed our stay, and were very comfortable; we would definitely recommend this property.

Fantastic Townhouse in Carolina Beach

We stayed here with our 3 kids (10, 7, 4) and it was just perfect for us. Short walk down the block to the beach. The beach was one of the best ones we have ever spend time at. The complimentary chairs and umbrella were a really nice perk.. Only 30 mins from Wilmington, NC so you can head into downtown Wilmington for a meal, which is also great. All the amenities for my family. Really close to a great soft serve ice cream shop and pizza place, if your not cooking your own meals at the house. Friendly people all around. We had a really awesome time. Melissa checked in with us daily and was so accommodating. We would recommend this property to anyone looking to visit Carolina beach.

Clean, modern, short walk to the beach, only 3 blocks! A gem!

A newly built, modern, VERY clean, lovely, 2 story beach home. Yes, it is only 3 blocks from the beach, and an easy 5 min walk. Well stocked kitchen, with spices too! Three different coffee maker for the coffee lovers in our family! The kitchen island has 4 bar stools, so if dining in, we needed to use the living area to dine. Beds are very comfortable, with good linens and towels. The queen bedroom, full bath with tub and shower, along with the twin bedroom are on the first floor. The second floor has the master bedroom, en suite bath, with a beautiful, huge, tiled walk- in shower and double sinks. The kitchen and living room are on the second floor as well as a half bath. There is also a child gate for the stairs Jim and Melissa were vey responsive and friendly. As an added welcome touch, had a fresh pineapple, 2 bottles of Pellegrino and fresh limes for us! We would definitely rent this lovely home again. .

Our new favorite vacation spot!

This house was amazing. It was so clean had everything you needed and more. The owners were so friendly and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. We never had a beach house as perfect as this one, we already booked our next trip and can't wait to book more!

Amazing Beach House/Location

This beach house was Amazing and with it being so close to the beach. The house was clean upon arrival and all of the amenities worked just fine. Easy communication with the property owner. Just like all the other reviews , you cannot go wrong with selecting this property. Would definitely recommend staying here and will definitely be booking again in the future.

The house was beautiful and very close to the beach! The owner was very responsive and even after we locked ourselves out. My 8 year old gave the house 4 stars but didn't know 5 were on option. Very kid friendly and comfortable.

Better Than Expected

This is a beautiful new property that is a great location to the beach. The back yard was fenced in and outstanding for our dogs. The host was excellent to work with. I hope to be able to return to this ideal home away from home. ( As a plus, very close to Britt's Donuts and they are a must. Eat them while they are hot)

Wonderful Stay at the Beach!

We had an amazing time at this house. It was a short and easy walk to the beach, and the neighborhood was great with access to everything you might need. The house was very clean, and we had every amenity we needed. Our dog loved the fenced in backyard. It was so convenient to have the outdoor shower and hose to clean the sand off of our dog and beach gear. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful beach home with a great location

We had reserved a place in a different location thru another competitor website. Unfortunately the other place was a scam. As soon as I saw the listing for this home pop up on VRBO, we contacted Jim and he responded immediately at 9p. We were able to quickly make arrangements for this beautiful beach house. It was exactly as advertised with a perfect location, less than a 5 minute walk to the beach. It was a good size for our family. Jim saved what could have been a disastrous start to our family vacation. You won’t go wrong with this home for a special family vacation!
