Does the idea of staying in a unique villa in the Tuscan countryside appeal to you?
Podere Belvedere is a renovated farmhouse perched on a hilltop above the small village of Carmignano, surrounded by olive groves and vineyards and offering breathtaking 360° views of the Tuscan countryside.
Florence is just 25 km away, and Siena and Pisa are also nearby, allowing you to visit these beautiful cities while staying away from the hustle and bustle, soaking up the sun, and relaxing by the private pool.
The farmhouse dates back to the 19th century and has been tastefully restored with attention to detail, preserving its traditional rustic style while offering all modern comforts. Interior amenities include spacious living rooms with original Tuscan wooden furniture, a wood-burning fireplace, and panoramic windows. The outdoor area features a vast fenced-in garden with olive trees, cypresses, fruit trees, and aromatic plants, private parking, and, most notably, a beautiful, large private saltwater pool, complete with loungers and chairs for total relaxation by the poolside. The former barn has been converted into a large loggia with a kitchen/barbecue area for al fresco dining.
The villa spans two main floors. The first floor features a very large living room with a TV, sofas, and a fireplace; a large, recently renovated, and fully equipped kitchen/dining room; a small bathroom; and a laundry room. On the upper floor, you’ll find four bedrooms—two with king-size beds and two with twin beds each—as well as two bathrooms (one en suite for one of the twin bedrooms). One of the double bedrooms can accommodate an extra bed.
For large groups or those with service staff, a small additional apartment is also available in the villa’s former wine cellars, featuring a double bedroom, a kitchen, and a bathroom.
Please note that the pool is open from June 1 through September 30. The interior of the villa is strictly non-smoking—of course, smoking is permitted throughout the outdoor areas. Being in the countryside, the area is very peaceful—however, some noise may be heard from neighboring farms, such as roosters in the morning.
Given the location, coming by car is essential, as local transportation, while reliable, often does not meet the needs of tourists. Parking is not an issue, as the villa offers private parking at no additional cost.
Once in Carmignano, we strongly suggest that you DO NOT follow your GPS instructions, but rather this route: from the Church of San Michele, take the uphill road via Chiti, which then turns into the winding Via Castello, until you reach No. 39. However, if you call us when you arrive in front of the church, we’ll come meet you in a few minutes.
Just 1 km away is the small village of Carmignano, with traditional cafés, restaurants, local shops, a bank, and a pharmacy. The nearest supermarket is just three km down the hill in Seano. In Carmignano itself, you absolutely must see the ancient Pieve di San Michele, dating from the 14th century and featuring a beautiful original painting by Pontormo—namely, *The Visitation*—and the ancient medieval fortress (Rocca).
During the summer, various events are organized by the municipality of Carmignano, which has developed a very good website.
