"We LOVED our stay at Iron Creek Bay! My son, who is 4, was so happy to feed the animals, and there was a nice big playground and large amount of land to walk around. Our room had a gorgeous view and was comfortable and clean. There is a common kitchen area, as well as coin laundry and some treadmills. "The Rivulet is located on busy Sandy Bay Road, which makes getting into and out of the property a litte tricky. It is conveniently located to the Salamanca Market, which we were able to walk to (30-40 minutes) and also to the Bruny Island boat tour pick-up location. Sandy Bay Road has lots of shops within easy walking distance (Coles and Woolworth). We especially enjoyed one of the bakery shops where we purchased meat pies and cherry tarts. "The hotel was nice, the parking is a joke. Motorcycles parking valay wanted 30 bucks each. They donr ide bikes, expect you to walk 2 blocks in full bike gear carrying your iwn luggage and try to charge you 30 bucks ontop of your hotel room for same. 11 bikers from Melbourne had a very heated conversation with the manager who looked about 15 years old, who said well you can always go park somewhere elses if you dont.like it. "

"Older property that lacks some modern amenities such as a room safe, a TV in the separate sitting area and we had to ask for a hand towel. The breakfast was adequate but even though we arrived when breakfast started, the food was cool to warm at best. This property wasn’t up to the standard we expected of a Rydges hotel."

"Staff are very busy so expect wait in line to check in, ask a question, get in to breakfast. Also breakfast items were not restocked quickly enough. No bowls and no one to ask, no cups for juice(did get restocked), pastries slow in putting out more. Juice wasn’t cold. Great position, close to everything, staff doing their best but could do with more staff in our opinion, they all were very busy. Told valet car was out the back when it was out the front as well. "
