Serenity Vista Retreat

A two-bedroom retreat at the foot of Sir Lowry`s Pass, entirely your own. Two bedrooms, each with its own en suite bathroom, sleeping four.

A full kitchen with an oven, stove, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, air fryer and blender. A washing machine. An indoor fireplace and air conditioning throughout.

Outside, a covered patio with a wood-fired pizza oven and a braai area, and a wood-fired hot tub facing the Hottentots Holland range.

The house runs on an inverter, so load shedding will not interrupt your stay.

The retreat has its own private entrance and a designated parking bay. There is a lockbox at the main gate and we send you the code before you arrive.

Strand and Bikini Beach are 15 minutes away. Lourensford Market is 15 minutes, Elgin Market 30 minutes over the pass, and Cape Town International Airport 35 minutes.

We live on the property with our two young children and two dogs. The dogs bark when someone new arrives and then settle. They sleep indoors with us at night. Neighbours on the surrounding smallholdings walk their dogs past.

This is a smallholding in a rural setting, so an insect or gecko occasionally finds its way indoors. Tell us and we will sort it out the same day.
Check-in from 2:00 PM, check-out by 10:00 AM. Please let us know your arrival time in advance.

Smoking is not permitted indoors. Outside is fine, please dispose of cigarettes responsibly.

Quiet after 10:00 PM out of respect for our neighbours.

Pets cannot be accommodated, with the exception of registered service animals.

Park in the bays marked for the Retreat. Please do not block neighbouring driveways.

Visitors and additional guests by prior arrangement only. Please do not invite people you do not know onto the property.

Damages and breakages happen. Report them to us straight away and we will sort it out. Depending on the extent, guests may be responsible for the cost of repair or replacement.

Waste goes into the recycling bins provided.

Please leave the house as you found it. Everything provided is yours to use, please leave it here when you go.
