Terrible experience, still waiting for refund.
I attended a wedding on the farm alongside but when I returned at midnight I was locked out of the property and the remote gate opener they provided did not work. This despite my explaining my plans upon checkin. I had to climb over the security gate in my wedding clothes, but could not find any staff anywhere. Eventually retrieved my luggage from my room, climbed back over the gate with my luggage, and drove home to Cape Town at 1 am. When I phoned to complain the next day, the managers blamed others and eventually promised to refund me, but I’ve heard nothing since.

Good Afternoon Eric Thank you for your review. As per email correspondence to you, we once again apologise for this totally unacceptable situation. We have taken serious actions with both our lodge management as well as the security staff member on duty. As to ensure this not to happen ever again. As communicated, you paid Expedia (3rd party) direct and we have instructed them to refund your money as a matter of urgency. Once again accept our apology.

Stunning scenery, comfortable bed, cosy dining area (was lovely to have breakfast by the fireplace).

Property and staff wonderful. Such a beautiful setting! Only disappointment?.. We had incorrectly booked the room for the day we were to depart.. but apon check in were assured it would be taken off our credit card and made right. Dispite many attempts to reach the hotel both directly and through Expedia, we have heard nothing. It’s a shame.

Disappointing...
Definitely not a 4 star experience, sadly. In spite of Jacky, the Estate Managertryimg hard to assist, staff were skeletal and runnif their feet. The door to our room didn’t lock and remained that way throughout in spite of them supposedly trying to fix it! The wine Estate was located right by the road. Restaurant Service was very slow and the food quality erratic. Wine was warm ?! Overta disappointing experience and we would not return.

Fint läge! Lite smutsigt i badrum, annars väldigt stora rum. Ok frukost. Dåligt internet i rummen. Bra service! Poolen såg bättre ut på bilder än i verkligheten.

Stupenda struttura a Stellenbosch, sulla Wine Route! Atmosfera rilassante, panorama da favola, vino naturalmente buonissimo direttamente dai loro vigneti e personale gentilissimo e disponibile! Fantastica esperienza!

Family friendly wine estate in heart of Winelands
Quaint wine estate in lovely surroundings. Big room with sofa area. Restaurant was good. We didn’t have time to try but the wine tastings looked very nice too.

We stayed 5 nights in the lodge March 2017, we were pleased with service, room very clean, and the friendly staff the staff, the location was very good to our purpose, and taxi service was always available, thank you

Highly recommended
The suites are amazingly big and well-appointed. The roll-top bath especially appreciated. Lovely view over the mountain from the balcony. Very warm welcome from the manageress, and lovely service and food in the restaurant. Highly recommended.

Hotel direkt an einer Hauptverkehrsroute (R310)
Wir waren zunächst sehr enttäuscht: 1. liegt das Hotel direkt an einer vielbefahrenen Hauptverkehrsstraße, die ständig sicht- und hörbar ist 2. Der Blick vom Restaurant (leckeres Abendessen, sehr mäßiges Frühstück) geht nicht wie bei einem Weingut erwartet auf Weinberge sondern auf Parkplatz und Straße 3. unser gebuchtes Deluxezimmer war etwas abgewohnt, dunkel und lag direkt neben einer "Renovierungsbaustelle" und roch nach Abwasser Nach kurzer Beschwerde bezüglich des Geruches wurde uns sofort eine Suite ohne Aufpreis angeboten...diese war abgesehen von der Lage an der Straße wunderschön Das Personal war während des gesamten Aufenthaltes sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich, so dass man sich immer gut betreut gefühlt hat!

Very comfortable but limited service
The hotel is situated in a beautiful part of Stellenbosch surrounded by vineyards and a great base to explore the area. The room was very large, well furnished and exceptionally clean. There isnt much in the way of service, with processes (like check-in) largely non-existent but other than that it makes for a great independent stay. Please put the wifi code in the room as there is little cell reception and no in-room telephone.
