This designer apartment has been newly transformed to take full advantage of the fabulous large balcony that transforms the living space.
Facing north, this private apartment on the 2nd floor of The Rockwell is protected from the Cape Town winds and is lovely and sunny in winter, yet cool and eternally liveable in the summer. With a Balinese divan and a dining table outside, this apartment is all about making the most of Cape Town and the outdoors.
The air-conditioned interior was designed by a renowned interior designer with a retro feel. It complements the Rockwell’s 1900s New York inspired architecture. The retro design makes full use of the interior space and flows easily into the protected balcony area. There are nice views across the De Waterkant area to the harbour and Cape Town Stadium.
There is a full kitchen and a washer and dryer to provide all the conveniences of home. The apartment also has an espresso machine and an ipod/iphone docking station.
The Rockwell complex was inspired by the early 1900s architecture of Manhattan, and is surrounded by delightful sidewalk restaurants, bars, art galleries and quaint boutique shops. The complex has a stunning seven story interior atrium and luxurious fittings throughout. It also boasts a gym and an indoor, heated pool.
De Waterkant is the trendiest neighbourhood in Cape Town and one of the most exclusive. The apartment enjoys an enviable location in the heart of the city without actually being in the CBD (which virtually closes down on weekends). From the apartment, you can easily walk to most major attractions of Cape Town. The CBD is just a couple of blocks, The V&A Waterfront (shops, restaurants, bars, coffee shops and Robben Island) is only minutes away, and there's an excellent supermarket across the road. The CTICC (Convention Centre) is nearby. You can easily walk to the new Cape Town Stadium and Cape Quarter’s lively restaurant and café scene is just one block away.
If you have a car, the apartment has an assigned, underground secure car parking space with lift access into the building. Security is of the highest standard at the Rockwell with 24hr security.
This privately owned apartment is managed by a high-end corporate agency who only deal with luxury rentals. They will meet all guests on arrival at The Rockwell and do all possible to ensure your stay in Cape Town is amazing. They also provide a complimentary weekly housekeeping service.
This apartment has been oficially graded as 4-star by the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa.

Prachtig, volledig ingericht appartement in een gezellige, veilige wijk van Kaapstad.
Heerlijk appartement, waar we 5 weken hebben genoten van Kaapstad en omgeving. Het appartement ligt een gezellige, veilige wijk van Kaapstad. Binnen een paar minuten ben je bij een mooi winkelcentrum met goede super en leuke eetgelegenheden.
De bushalte is om de hoek, in een kwartiertje loop je naar het centrum van Kaapstad of Waterfront.
Een aanrader voor iedereen die Kaapstad wil leren kennen!

Third stay with Jenny
This is our third time staying at the Rockwell in one of Jenny’s property. And, as usual, it was perfect! The location of the Rockwell could not be better. Jenny’s communication was quick, informative and accurate. The meeting for key exchange was no hassles and no wait. And the apartment is a great apartment. Can’t say enough good things about this and we will be using the Rockwell whenever we visit Cape Town if it is available.

Lovely, well speced and convenient
This is a lovely clean well appointed apartment that is in the perfect location for a Cape Town trip. It very convenient to get around the CBD and it has a number of great restaurants in the building and plenty of options a short walk away. I would highly recommend this apartment and I will definitely be a regular guest.

Fantastic Apartment, central for everything in Cap
Stayed in the apartment for 4 nights. Apartment immaculate, well maintained and furnished. Owner and Managing agents kept us well informed and provided all necessary information. Apartment is within 5 to 10 minutes safe walking distance to the V&A waterfront (if you like great Sushi try the Willoughby's 5X5). Although the apartment has safe parking, Cape Town now has Uber which we used extensively, went to Table Mountain in Uber, went to Camps Bay in Uber! Because of the great central location of the property an Uber was never more than 4 mins away and was very cheap. Highly Recommended Stay.

We will be back!!
Staying at Jenny's apartment has been a great experience, from our original contact with Jenny through departure. We have stayed in holiday apartments all over the world, some good and some not so good but this one is a winner.
The location was perfect, close to markets, fine dining, shopping and must see tourist destinations. Jennys property management team were a dream to work with, nothing was too much trouble and their response time was remarkable.
This has been a great holiday for us and we are already talking about a return trip so many thanks for your help along the way Jenny. Look forward to contacting you again in the not too distant future.

Great apartment in great location
This apartment is a perfect place to stay for anyone's visit to Cape Town. It is centrally located. It's beautiful and safe. Lots of amenities. We loved the balcony. Jenny is a pleasure to deal with. Fast response. Easy check in and out. She has at least two properties at The Rockwell and we have stayed at both and loved the experience.

An upmarket apartment with all mod cons. Very central for great restaurants and entertainment
Loved the area, lots to see and do. Walking distance from the apartment to the waterfront, stadium, CBD and Seapoint. Or just relaxing on the daybed on the spacious balcony. The owner's restaurant recommendations are great.

Comfortable, cosmopolitan perfection
We spent a week at this spot and really couldn't have been happier. The unit was wonderful... useful kitchen, comfortable living area, wonderful outdoor patio to use on the nice days, and a very cozy bed and linens to rest in after a day of sightseeing. You can't beat the location either, whether it's restaurants, a bit of nightlife, or easy access (on foot or by cab) to the Waterfront, CBD, or upper Long/Loop Streets. The security of the building helped put us at ease, and the parking was a great bonus too. But what really made this great was Jenny... she's very helpful, approachable, and quick-to-address questions or issues. For all the convenience and the price, this is unbeatable and sure to make your stay in Cape Town!

Excellent for 2 people and great in-city location
My wife and I had a delightful time in Cape Town and staying in 216 Rockwell for a month. The apartment is well designed/maintained and works well for 2 people. We used the balcony to have 2 guests for dinner several times. We used the hotel lobby area to purchase coffees with free WIFI most mornings. The pedestrian way next to the Rockwell has 3 excellent restaurants. The Rockwell is only a block from Cape Quarter (SPAR) and also Somerset Rd, on which we took long walks to Green Point and the ocean.

Our stay in De Waterkant
Fantastic apartment, wonderful location and very helpful staff at The Rockwell. Our first visit to Cape Town, but we hope it won't be our last. Jenny was so helpful with all aspects of our visit - despite the many emails I drowned her with! The bars, restaurants, shops in the Cape Quarter were excellent - literally a stone's throw from the apartment. With Jenny's help and guidance coupled with excellent taxi support from Unicab, we would definitely visit again.

Fantastic in every respect
We stayed for a week as our introduction to South Africa and it was fantastic. Everything is exactly as shown on the website. The area is perfectly safe and secure, and we particularly liked the fact that this is a private apartment within a boutique hotel complex - so we had every facility and all the benefits of 24 hours reception/security. The hotel staff could not have been more pleasant, friendly or helpful. The In the City people who manage the apartment were also good to deal with. They organised a complimentary clean and linen change half way through our week's stay.
The area is full of excellent shops, bars, cafes and restaurants. We were spoiled for choice.
Jenny was a delight to work with - all her communications were prompt and comprehensive - and her notes on what to see and do in Cape Town were an added bonus. She was very reassuring about our safety concerns.
Everything in the apartment is of top quality - and everything works!
The Spar supermarket in the Cape Quarter met our every need for self-catering.
The location is excellent for most of the key attractions - either an easy walk, or a cheap taxi ride.
Without hesitation we would strongly recommend this apartment to another couple, or a single person - and would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Excellent Apartment
As others have stated , this is a well situated apartment. Everything one needs is within safe walking distance including a market and numerous restaurants. The property is well kept and clean. Having a washer and dryer is a great help. Relaxing out on the balcony after a day of sight seeing was great.
The apartment is just as described by the owner. Both the owner and her management company who met us were outstanding.

Superb Apartment
We spent a wonderful week in May at 216 The Rockwell. From our very first inquiry, Jenny the owner was exceptionally helpful in providing us with information about the apartment, the location and the city. This one bedroom apartment in a modern hotel is very comfortable, well laid out, fully equipped and has an excellent bed. .We also enjoyed the covered balcony overlooking Napier Street. This apartment was absolutely excellent value for the money.
This apartment is well located in central Capetown within easy walking distance of restaurants, museums, the downtown area and the excellent V&A waterfront. There is a very good Spar supermarket right across the street.at the Cape Quarter and several restaurant choices there as well - we particularly enjoyed Cubana and the Andiamo restaurants. There were several evenings when we were just too tired to dine out and the Rockwell hotel provided us with very inexpensive room service meals.
The apartment is well managed and Jenny's management company was very quick to deal with any issues that we had.
Capetown is a beautiful city and we felt safe at all times. We have no hesitation in recommending Capetown and the southern Cape as a wonderful and interesting tourist destination.

Fantastic apartment!
This was the perfect place to stay on my visit to Cape Town. A modern, clean and secure apartment in a lovely area. I LOVED the location, just minutes walk from the waterfront ( 5 minute walk), Cape Quarter (literally across the road) shops and restaurants. The owner Jenny, was also extremely helpful and available at any time to help me with questions. Will definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cape Town.

My home away from home!
Jenny's apartment was my little home away from home during my month's stay in Cape Town. The apartment was perfect - it is stylish, inviting, and comfortable. The large balcony is perfect for relaxing and sipping your pinotage in the afternoon or enjoying your breakfast at the table in the morning.
The Rockwell is in an ideal location with great restaurants, an impressive grocery store, and quaint boutiques right around the apartment. The secure parking spot was especially nice, and the ambiance of The Rockwell (the common areas, gym, pool, bar) is very welcoming and top-notch.
Importantly, I have worked with quite a few owners, and Jenny is hands-down the most hospitable, helpful, and responsive person. She offers great recommendations for things to do and places to go, and she really does everything she can to ensure you enjoy your stay in Cape Town. I hope to return to Cape Town and this condo again soon!

Feeling at home in Cape Town
This was a wonderful apartment at a great price. We felt very at home in this very modern, secure building. Great location from which to walk to the Waterfront. There are plenty of great restaurants and shops nearby. My husband and I stayed for five nights and felt it was the perfect jumping-off point to see all that Cape Town has to offer while being able to come home and relax. Very quiet building, we appreciated being able to do laundry and to have internet. The concierge in the lobby was also very helpful in guiding us to sites in the area as well as setting up a wine tasting tour. The owner was very responsive to any questions and has great suggestions of what to see and do in the area. We only wished we could have stayed longer!

Perfect gem in the heart of Cape Town
We stayed in Cape Town for 6 days, and this apartment was the perfect location in which to explore the city. It has everything we needed to start and end our day, as well as make meals (if we needed too. But to be honest we ate out since the food is so good in CT). It was a very nice, safe and secure apartment! Comfortable at the end of the day as well as sizable enough to get yourself situated. It was easy to arrange transportation from that area, and also there were many walkable areas in close vicinity, some of the best restaurants. As gay travelers we were also very close to a lot of great nightlife. Perfect location.
I would have to admit the best of all was the owners support and help in making sure the place worked well for us. I would highly recommend a stay here!
