"I visited in the off-season, but being in a hotel on the water was fantastic. I caught two beautiful sunsets the weekend I was there, and from the back parking lot of the hotel, you can walk to the embankment of yard where it meets the Bogue Sound. My hotel room was great; breakfast was good. My only minor issue is that the pillows were not as solid as some others I've slept on at Hilton/Hampton hotels, but that's an easy fix: bring your own pillows. I shouldn't have assumed they'd be the same...

"We stayed here because of the proximity to the ferry, and for that, the location is really perfect. A short 3 miles to the terminal can’t be beat. The drive into Cedar Island is really amazing. And while the property is very spacious and has so many beds to offer to a group, it is not the Hilton, so be extra aware of that if bringing little ones with you. The beds were not the most comfortable, the air freshener scent was very strong, there was a super thick layer of dust on all the blinds,...
