This cabin is perfect for a weekend getaway or a retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life. It is truly a hidden gem. The setting is serene, surrounded by Mother Nature but also within minutes of Cape girardeau/ Jackson, Trail of Tears State Park , the famous Pilot House, the St. Louis Mountain Railway and local wineries.
This cabin historically was once part of the “Girls Scout Camp.” The cabin was originally the dining hall and it was later renovated to a studio cabin. As you walk into the cabin you will feel a cozy, rustic charm. The main focal point is the beautiful stone fireplace in the center of the cabin. There is a desk for writing, dining room area and bedroom area with a queen size bed and a daybed that can sleep an additional 2. There’s a bathroom/shower and dressing area with a full length mirror. A full kitchen is located right off of the living room. At the end of the day you can relax in a chair off of the Stonehedge patio or roast marshmallows on the custom stone grill.
