THE SPACE

KITCHEN / LIVINGROOM
The living room exudes modern industrial design, ideal for movies, games, or relaxation on a plush sofa. A dream Tiny Home kitchen, adorned with unique brick and exposed pipe features, is fully equipped with full-sized appliances, a fully stocked kitchen, and a stocked coffee bar. The dining table offers a perfect setting for meals.

BEDROOMS/BATHROOM
Welcome to a sleek, open-concept studio featuring a queen-sized bed and a vaulted loft with two additional twin beds. Enjoy a flat-screen smart TV with popular streaming services and a stylish bathroom boasting gorgeous subway tiles, a walk-in shower, and a standalone bowl sink. Stocked with amenities and equipped with a washer/dryer for convenience.

PORCH
Step onto the large, private, covered porch with ample comfortable seating ā€“ an idyllic spot to soak up the sun or unwind to the sounds of evening cricket choir or stargaze.

GAZEBO
The Gazebo is located on the front side of the property, a short walk from your porch. This is a shared space that provides a grill, fireplace, and a larger area to entertain and star gaze at the one-of-a-kind hill country sky. (This area is fenced in and is used by the homeowners and their dogs. All guests are welcome to use but please message us before using.)

THE GROUNDS
This property shares its two acres with other homes creating a space suitable for accommodating larger parties. Should you need additional housing, please send us a message, or check out the other rental on the property called Lola Hideaway. Link below! Other tiny homes and the main house are visible from the porch.

PETS
We understand that fur babies are family too! We happily welcome four-legged friends (DOGS ONLY).

Additional criteria needed:
*$50 Fee. This fee is assessed after booking and is used for additional cleaning time required after a pet stays.
*There are two labs that reside in the main house on the front of the property. The owners have fenced in their front yard to give their fur babies a free roaming space. (If you would like to use the gazebo/grill message us, to give us a heads up.)
*Dogs must be ON LEASH AT ALL TIMES. ( Only exception is if you ask to let your dog free roam in the fenced in front yard.)
*Unattended dogs must be in a crate.
*Please do not leave your dog unattended and tied to the porch.
*Please pick up your dog's waste outside.
*Please do not let dogs on furniture or bed.
*Any pet damages to the property will result in appropriate fees.

Added Measures for COVID-19 Outbreak:

Our staff is cleaning with medical-grade disinfectants and following CDC guidelines. To give you some peace of mind while you are staying in Morty Hideaway. Our regular cleaning is a deep clean every time; we also replace all linens, bedspreads, blankets, towels, mats, and small rugs. Now, since the COVID 19 outbreak, we are also going behind our cleaning team, disinfecting every touchable surface with alcohol as well as spraying the couch and large rugs with Odoban. It is an environmentally friendly hospital-grade disinfectant that has a slight lavender smell. We hope this can give you some peace of mind during your stay. If you have any other questions about our cleaning practices, do not hesitate to ask.

Amazing Property - Perfect Stay

Easy to access and spot on to the listing. Beautiful property that felt tucked away without having to be miles down a dirt road. Would recommend this one to anybody looking for a spot to unwind. All of the small notes to make it feel homey and warm were noticed the second we walked through the door! Thanks for having us, will definitely be back!

A homey environment for a weekend retreat

My dog and I enjoyed our stay while in town for an event. Lots of beautiful hiking options, local restaurants, and friendly locals to make our stay at Morty Hideaway the perfect weekend getaway. Beautiful Home Away From Home

The property was spectacular! Clean, updated, and the communication with the owners was quick and helpful. I loved the property and the location. We were a few minutes from our concert at White Water Ampitheatre. The property was secure and safe. Loved that they had a washer and dryer in the unit. We stayed the weekend and it was nice to have the amenities to wash our wet clothes and the stuff we brought prior to returning to our work week. Would highly recommend this listing for your getaway.

Great location

Great location and space for a quick stay. Close to canyon lake marina, tubing and breakfast. Very clean inside but had an odor. Needs an additional mirror outside of the bathroom. Additional towel hooks and a shelf in the shower would have been helpful. The patio needed to be swept and more comfortable chairs to sit outside. You have to park further away so you have to carry your things back and forth. Mattress isnā€™t the most comfortable but okay. Refrigerator doors on backwards. Again overall good spot and nice people. For $100 or less a night we would stay again.

This was our first experience with VRBO, and we were completely pleased. The Tiny Home was exactly what we needed -- it was quiet, clean, well-appointed, and close to attractions and conveniences. The furnishings and appliances were excellent; we most appreciated having laundry facilities in the home and a very comfortable mattress. Our host was unobtrusive, but handy when we had a question. We would stay here again without giving a thought to anywhere else.

Lairdā€™s hideaway was perfect for our needs. Comfortable. Surprisingly roomy, big enough for us to have a Thanksgiving lunch for five people. Itā€™s best for short stays, though. Thereā€™s no designated space for luggage and hanging clothes.

All you need for a relaxing get a way

Thoroughly enjoyed our time at Lairdā€™s Hideaway in Mortyā€™s Cabin. Host gave great suggestions about things we were interested in doing. The cabin was as pictured and extremely clean. Huge bonus was its dog friendly, even pup bowls inside. Location was great and close to the lake. Also easy to get to Gruene, & New Braunfels.

Wonderful cabin

We stayed here for about a week to attend a wedding and visit with family and friends. The owners were very nice and accommodating for us. We have two larger dogs and they had plenty of space. Everything was very clean and well taken care of. We would definitely stay here again!

Canyon Lake Getaway

Great location just down the road from Whitewater Amphitheater, the Guadalupe River and Canyon Lake. We really enjoyed our stay and the host was awesome. The property contains a main house and 3 tiny houses. Gated, dedicated parking and nice landscaping and garden. We felt very much off to ourselves. Perfect amount of privacy and a common area if you want to meet and greet. Front porch was nice and the interior had everything you could need. Comfortable bed, nice sitting area and really nice kitchen and bathroom shower! Loft space up top. Weā€™d like to go back for another stay!

Perfect Stay - Thank you Lauren!!

Attended a wedding in the area. This Tiny Home experience could not have been more perfect. The property feels peaceful/quiet and secluded even though it is just off a busy main road. The home is detached with a huge porch and well-stocked. It is a convenient location in close proximity to all activities. We brought two small dogs and they LOVED it! They were able to explore the grounds in safety. Lauren, the owner, greeted me and offered to supply a microwave for heating water. Even though heating water on the stovetop worked perfectly fine, it was nice that Lauren offered mid-stay. I would definitely like to stay here again if travels bring me to the area. Kiddos would love sleeping in the loft!!

Awesome cabin and location!

Awesome property close to the Canyon Lake dam and water. The house was very clean and had awesome cooking materials and grill. The hosts were very accommodating and made the place feel like home. I highly recommend and would be happy to return in the future.

Absolutely perfect!

This place is absolutely perfect and serene. It's less then 5 minutes away from the lake! The place was spotless when we got here and had many amenities. The beds were comfortable and we really enjoyed their outdoor grilling area. The hosts were super accommodating and responsive. I would stay here again and recommend for anyone looking for a quiet getaway.
