Train / Scenic Rail • The Royal Gorge Route Railroad departs from the Santa Fe Depot in Cañon City and offers a scenic round-trip excursion through the gorge. • Multiple departure times are offered daily, including morning, midday, and afternoon. • This is a tourist excursion train, not a commuter service. • Free parking is available near the depot.
Road Access / Car / Taxi / Ride Shares • Renting a car is the most flexible way to explore the region. • US Highway 50 runs through Cañon City, providing east–west access. • State Highway 115 connects Cañon City north to Colorado Springs. • The nearest major airport is Colorado Springs Airport, about an hour’s drive away. • Local taxis and ride-share services (Uber and Lyft) operate in the area. • The Cañon City municipal airport is about 6 miles east of town, but it has no scheduled commercial flights.

Guests will be charged a $175 cleaning fee and a $250 damage deposit. The damage deposit will be refunded within 7 days after departure, provided no damage is done to the property.
