Welcome to the Historic Canal Retreat, a charming historic home located in the Heart of Downtown Canal Fulton and situated right along the edge of the Ohio & Erie Canal. Originally built in the mid 1800's, this newly renovated 3-unit building combines historic character with modern comforts, making it the perfect getaway. Our Monticello unit, located on the middle floor, features two bedrooms and one bathroom, perfect for romantic escapes, a friends trip, or solo retreats.

Unwind after a day of adventures in our cozy living room, gather around the table with friends for a board game, or prepare a home cooked meal in our fully equipped kitchen. If you don't feel like a night in, you're in luck because our home is just a short walk from local favorites, including bars, restaurants, shops, and more. Outdoor enthusiasts will love the nearby Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail, perfect for hiking and biking, as well as kayaking and canoeing on the scenic Tuscarawas River. We have plenty of parking and are located within walking distance to Canal Fulton's historic district.
Other things to note
This is a historic building with three separate units, one in each floor. Each unit has a separate entrance. Although we have taken painstaking measures to soundproof the building as much as possible, it is still a historic building and some sound may travel between units. We ask that guests in all units please be considerate of each other.
