"This home is exactly as described; private, scenic, and serene. You sit at the top of a mountain off the beaten path yet not too far from area attractions which are accessible. The scenery from the home is constantly changing and the views are endless. You can see the whales tale, past Playa Ventanas, down to the Corcovado area, and maybe Panama:) The views toward San Josecito are equally impressive. Around the property you will find well manicured grounds, fruit trees, animal spotting, and...

"This property and staff are incredible! This was a family vacation with our adult children and six grandchildren, fifteen of us in total. Stephen is a wonderful host. He was so quick to communicate, answer questions, and put our mind at ease. The staff were so amazing…kind and accommodating. The only draw back was the trek to get to and from activities. So know that going in. However, if you want privacy, wildlife, and unforgettable views, the villa has you covered. "

"I had an amazing stay! The apartment was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The view from the terrace was absolutely breathtaking. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, making our stay even more enjoyable. One of the highlights was the two toucans that visited us in the morning. They were flying around, perching on the trees, and watching us while we relaxed on the terrace. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing and unique getaway! "

"The house is great, finding it was a challenge as the google pin wasn’t accurate. The 4x4 recommendation is no joke. We regretted not having gone food shopping beforehand. Once you are there, you won‘t want to leave. Beds, kitchen equipment, pool are all magnificent! We did have a power cut in the night which caused the electronics to beep. So sad we only had 3 nights in the house."

"This house is truly one of a kind. It felt like stepping into The Croods (the movie)—living in a cave, but an incredibly luxurious one! The kids said it was like being in a fairytale and were genuinely sad to leave. Tucked away by the river and off the beaten path, it had everything we needed for a magical stay."

"We felt like we were alone in the jungle, full kitchen very nice bathroom separated from the bedroom. The bedroom does not have glass windows one night was a little bit warm, so please take that into consideration but overall we loved the concept. Keep in mind there's also a huge construction boom in Costa Rica so there is some street noise, can't see it, but sometimes you can hear it"

After walking down the stairs, you see the most incredible rock house with built-in spa, open concept living/dining areas, and truly incredible bathroom with heated seat and great shower. We loved spending family time together in this memorable location. If we had more time, we would have enjoyed hanging out in the gazebo over the river. Very excited to return someday."

"Our stay at Vista Paraiso Lodge for New Year's was amazing. The view is super fantastic especially the sunet and the whole place is beautiful since sunrise, many birds singing. My two dogs loved the whole place and William and his wife are very nice and very helpful. Thank you so much, see you soon. Pura Vida!!"

"If you are looking for a remote place to get away for a bit this is the place. Very basic, but all you need. Owners are some of the nicest people you will ever meet!"

"This is a great place, but there’s a couple of things you need to know before renting.First, if you can’t tell from the pictures, only the bedroom and bathroom are enclosed, the kitchen is completely open – no screens. That means bugs – it's Costa Rica after all. No mosquitoes, but beetles, flies, little flying things, and the occasional millipede. You can reduce the insects by not turning on the outside lights at night (finish eating before dark) and cleaning up dishes etc. immediately after...

"If your looking for an amazing property this is the place! Very picturesque with amazing wildlife right from the sitting area. We enjoyed our time there and found everything we needed! Small store not far away. The property manager Carolina was amazing and helped us with any question we had. We enjoyed the pool and viewing deck and the house had a well appointed kitchen. Plenty of room for everyone. Hope to be back again soon!"
