"We were very pleased with how nice and clean everything was. Even the hallways smelled fresh and clean. We could not hear people in the units beside or above us which made for restful nights. The units were nicely furnished with a complete kitchen and shower tub. Being pet friendly, we were able to bring our cats who really enjoyed the big windows. The location is convenient to downtown Roanoke which allowed us to enjoy the local restaurants and even a brewery, A Few Old Goats, is attached...

"We had a great family vacation at the castle - we loved that the bedrooms were spacious and many had en suite bathrooms, the pool was so clean and spending time in the pool with all the water toys provided was everyone’s favorite part of the trip! The arcade downstairs was super fun for all too. The lakefront at the house was a bit muddy when we went so we didn’t swim there but enjoyed the kayaks! "This host was perfect. She conveyed the details of my stay just prior to our arrival. She communicated the details for our stay to be enjoyable and fun. "Such a beautiful log cabin inside and out with plenty of room! Just like home away from home with all you’d need. Love that all the BRs have a full BA and enjoyed the large screen TVs. The only thing I’d mention is that the path to the lake is very long and steep with “free form wooden planks”, no handrails, and not easy to navigate for those with any mobility issues. "
