Fiz check out antecipado até por não estar me sentindo bem no hotel. O recepcionista era esforçado, porém o estabelecimento não ajuda. Fica num prédio estranho, antigo é muito sujo, numa localização que me fez sentir extremamente insegura. Não recomendo mesmo. Mudei de hotel antes que enlouquecesse e estragasse a minha viagem. As fotos enganam muito. Não é nem perto do que esperava. Pena que não consigo nenhum reembolso.

Dear Renata , Thank you for taking from your time to review us . We are very sorry about the refund issue , as according to the hotel policy , we can not refund in your case . you booked 20 nights and after you spent 8 nights , you asked for refund because you changed your plans or so , so according to our hotel policy we needed to protect ourselves from such actions . we are sorry for your experience and we wish you all the best . thank you

The Capital Hotel Cairo is in a very old and central location about 8 minutes walk from Cairo Museum and the Nile River. The hotel itself is on the first floor of a very old building in the centre of Old Cairo, you access it through a dark wooden door and the passage is closed to cars (so it is a bit quieter than the street). The lift in the building is very-very antique and we were told not to use it (though it did appear to be powered on). There was a person on the door at night and during the day and the reception was staffed 24 hours. Internally the hotel is quite comfortable with air-conditioning and well maintained facilities inside. The staff were very friendly and very helpful during our stay. They provided us with cooked breakfast each day and bottled water when we first arrived. There are 24 hour vendors downstairs that sell bottled water, snacks and soft-drinks for around 10 EGP. The best features of the hotel are the architecture of the building itself, the walkability and the access to the Nile and the Cairo Museum, and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Directly across the road is the 'Americana Hub' which gives you an air-conditioned place to wait for an Uber to take you to Giza to see the pyramids on a hot day. This part of Cairo is ancient, there are huge street parties on Friday nights directly downstairs (along Talaat Harb Street). We never felt unsafe and businesses were very friendly especially in the mornings before it gets too hot.

The location is excellent the room is relatively clean and you can leave keys with receptionist for a room clean and bin change daily. The size of the room is small but neat. My partner found it difficult to return to sleep once awoken as the traffic is heavy until about 3pm and most drivers blow horns for what seems to be for the fun of it. Shopping access metro and travel links hustle and bustle is available on your doorstep which i appreciated, but if you want a quiet space may have to consider an area out of the downtown area.

タリハール広場やカイロ考古学博物館が徒歩圏内です。大きな通りに近く、夜まで買い物をしたり街の雰囲気を味わったりできました。街の喧騒は夜遅くまで部屋に聞こえますが、遊び疲れて寝たので全く気になりませんでした。 朝ごはんも美味しかったです。 スタッフの方々もフレンドリーかつ親切でした。突然のお願いにも親切に対応してくださりました。 翌日にはギザに泊まりましたが、総じてカイロのほうが宿泊には向いていると思いました。　 空港送迎シャトルは15＄でした。 ホテルに紹介された現地英語ツアーにも参加しました。 オールドカイロツアー:40$/人、博物館やムハンマドアリーモスク、市場など。 ピラミッドツアー:60$/人、複数のエリアのピラミッド。 どちらも昼食付きでした。各種入場料は別途現金が必要。盛り沢山の内容で、ツアーガイド、ドライバーも親切でした。 You can walk to Talihar Square and the Egyptian Museum. Since the hotel was located in the city center, we spent our evenings shopping and soaking up the atmosphere of the city. The bustle of the city could be heard in our room late at night, but we didn't mind. Breakfast was very good. The staff was friendly and helpful. They were kind enough to accommodate our sudden request. Thank you so much. We stayed in Giza the next day, but in general I thought Cairo was a better place to stay. I would like to use this hotel again on my next visit to Egypt. The airport shuttle was 15$. We also took a English private tour that was introduced by the hotel. Old Cairo Tour: 40$/person, including museums, Muhammad Ali Mosque, markets, etc. Pyramid tour: 60$/person, including pyramids in several areas. Both included lunch. The tours were full and interesting. Tour guide and driver were friendly. Entrance fees were not included in the tour price and were paid in cash.

The room was great, very comfortable bedroom, nice bathroom, large space, very clean and modern (I was surprised by the nice room, I was not expecting something that good). Staff was super friendly and helpful. The hotel is only one floor in a very old building (just like all the buildings in Cairo), the entrance is ugly (like most of the building in the area) but the rooms are pretty good and well maintained. The location is somehow convenient since it’s downtown Cairo and there are many places of interest nearby. Personally, I just found the area and Cairo in general too crowded and noisy, but that has nothing to do with the hotel. This hotel is a convenient and cheap option to stay.

The hotel staff are friendly and speak English which made it easy for us to communicate. Good proximity to the shops and restaurants. Felt very homey and comfortable. Will definitely recommend.

Excellent location and price
Location is excellent, bang central downtown Cairo 10 minutes from the Nile and Museum with lots of shops on your doorstep. A little noisy yes with the taxi horns but not too bad. Staff were fine especially Hamid and Sama. Suggestions for improvement - sheets/bedding could have been a little cleaner, breakfast was a little basic with no Western bread/toast or cereals such as cornflakes but overall for the price was good. Whoever reads this and has the authority I saw a couple of child beggars on the adjacent streets - this situation obviously needs to be addressed and those poor children need to be helped by whatever means necessary.

Great location in downtown Cairo
We stayed at the Capital Cairo Hotel (on goggle maps as Cairo Capital Plaza) for three nights while we were in Cairo. The hotel is very conveniently located near Tahrir Square and multiple metro stops. There are also several shops and restaurants along Talaat Harb St. The hotel was clean and rooms were as described. The hotel staff was friendly, professional, and very helpful. During our stay they helped arrange a driver to the Pyramids and answered several other questions. Would highly recommend if you're looking for an affordable hotel in the downtown Cairo area!

I do not recommand. Toilet is smely, room are noisy. The first room i had, the toilet leak on the floor. The second room, the air conditioner leak. People are nice :)

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. They are not there to convince you to spend more money but just to take care of you. Felt very welcomed and the hotel room was nice and quiet. The breakfast was good every morning with a friendly face serving you. I would come back here. Good people.

The rooms were not cleaned unless you asked- sad state in bathrooms after several days used. In my opinion, they should drop the "hotel"; very deceptive title, it is definitely more of a hostel.

Dear Paula , thank you very much for taking from your time review us , but to be honest this is not fair , you booked our hotel , your rooms were booked for you as your booking , but you came to the hotel with egyptian boyfriend and wanted to stay together in the same room and as you KNOW VERY WELL that , according to the egyptian low , is not allowed to have an egyptian man with you without marriage contract , so we understand that you were not happy , but those are rules out of our hands , so we think is not very fair to blame the hotel for that , anyway thank you

A great memorable stay during our first trip to Egypt! The hotel is located in the centre of Cairo, from which many famous sight are easily accessible by walking and by car. The hotel is clean and well equipped. The staff is amazing, very kind and very helpful. Absolutely recommended for everyone who would like to stay at the centre of Cairo in a pleasant place!

Staff was super friendly, especially Anis was very helpful and he became our go to when we needed help or had questions. The hotel was very clean, beds were comfortable, and the dining area was nice to eat at or read away from the room. Concerns were: wifi was slow and inconsistent. The bathroom shower released a gassy/sewage smell. This was alleviated with a shower drain cover that the hotel already had in place (removed for showering) and keeping the bathroom door closed. The street the hotel is on is closed and has no car access, so this posed challenges with Uber pickups. Otherwise, the hotel was fine and very central to eateries, shops, and the museum.
