Beautiful peaceful spot to watch the sunset or to sit in the sun and listen to the loons and birds. Our cabin has a wonderful Great Room that has windows all around with a fireplace. The cabin has two separate bedrooms with full-size beds and dressers. Plenty of closet space in the cabin. The couch in the living room folds out for two and also has a fireplace and TV with WiFi. Kitchen has everything you need. Kayaks, paddle boats and canoes available for use. On-site ONLY. The boat landing is 1/2 mile away. Dock space available to moor boat or pontoon. Fine dining available via boat. Also for your use outside charcoal grill. Large fire pit to sit outside by. Trophy muskie lake including walleye, pan and bass. Renowned biking trails, four wheeling, cross country skiing (Home of the Birkebeiner Race ) and snowmobiling. with golf course a mile away. Winter in its blanket of snow awaits the fun you can create! Beautiful in the Fall, full colour! Outdoor Sauna available.Direct Access to trails for snowmobiling. Please REMEMBER at least a 2 DAY stay is ONLY excepted MINIMUM !!!!!

Relaxing stay

Cozy cabin on a beautiful, peaceful, well maintained property. Easy check-in & out. Great fishing dock, clean lake for kayaking and swimming! Lots to do in the Cable/Hayward area. A great place to recharge with family.

Great place!

Great location! The property is beautiful! The lake is right in front of you! This was my second time staying there, kitchen and bedrooms are a little small, when you have five girlfriends in one cabin. But the living space was perfect for all of us. We had everything we needed. Carol and Jim were wonderful! They were always there if we needed anything! Weā€™ll definitely be back again! Thank you, Carol and Jim for making our girls trip perfect!

So fun!

The Fogerty cabins are so cute and Jim and Carol were both very nice. The cabin had all the amenities needed, and if you're not sure, message the hosts and theyll get back to you promptly. Very quiet location and a great cabin for getting together with friends.

A hidden gem!

Everything about this stay was great! The cabin was clean & very cute, the location on Garden Lake was perfect, and the hosts were so nice & accommodating! Also appreciated the bonus amenities (e.g. fire pit, boat rental option, sauna, etc.) We would absolutely come back!! Thanks Jim & Carol!

Nice property on garden lake.Close to Forest Ridges golf course and several nice restaurants and bars. It was cool in the evenings so we enjoyed sitting by the fireplace and wood stove.

Cozy & Welcoming Cabin!

First night we got there they had all the lights on for us and the fireplace going! Welcomed us with a wine basket and chocolates! Very clean and great location! We will definitely book a trip with them again!

Place was unique and cozy. Owners were kind enough to have the lights on as we arrived at night and couldn't see. They left us a bottle off wine and chocolates and came to check to see if we needed anything the next day. Great people I could see us being friends with. Beautiful property will definitely stay there again.

Beautiful cabin on Garden Lake

We stayed at Jim and Carols cabin for a full week, which gave us an opportunity to get to know the area as well as the amenities the property offered. As soon as you arrive, you can see the little touches that reflect the properties hand crafted artisan flair! This is a one of a kind cabin and pictures donā€™t do it justice. Itā€™s a beautifully built home with so many interesting features throughout. The property sits right on the shore of garden lake. We enjoyed having coffee on the dock and watching the sunrise and occasional loon. We went fishing daily. Which was great for pan fish. I lost track of counting how many we caught! The evening was great for using the grill to cook up our dinner on the deck. There is a wood fired sauna that Jim surprised us by getting it started for us. I absolutely recommend enjoying the sauna followed by a dip in the lake to cool off. This was a highlight! We brought our own little fishing boat, but had motor issues on the last day. Jim was kind enough to offer his boat, even though we hadnā€™t reserved it for the day. Carol let us tour the two other little cabins on the property while they were vacant. They were also beautifully built and decorated! I am already talking with our family to have others join us for another trip next summer! This really is a wonderful property, with great hosts! We canā€™t wait to come back!

Great Stay at Fogarty's

We enjoyed our stay! Being on the lake was great. They let us dock two boats on the property so we could walk out of the cabin and into our boats to go fishing. there was also an electrical out by the dock to recharge trolling motors. Carol and Jim were available onsite when we had questions. The cabin was clean and well-equipped. I also took a great kayak trip with no rental charge for them. We would stay here again!

Week on the lake

We stayed at Fogartyā€™s Compound for a week as a family getaway. We have stayed in the Hayward/ Cable area for over the past 10 years but this was our first time staying here. We really enjoyed our stay! Being on the lake was AMAZING, especially since we had kids with us. Carol and Jim were available onsite when needed but also gave us lots of space. The cabin was clean, located on a neat property. We would definitely stay here again!

A Sisters Getaway

Despite rain throughout our stay we had great, quality time together. The main cabin on the compound was completely comfortable with all amenities needed. Beds were very comfortable, the kitchen fully stocked, and the cabin decor very charming. The owners are on site and were immediately responsive to any question we had. We will be back.

Wonderful quick stay on the lake!

Location was easy to find and hosts were very friendly and accomodating. Property was beautiful, and the cabin was cozy and had everything for a quick getaway. Not an issue for my plans (getting off the grid), but there was no cell service at the house (at@t). Would definitely recommend and would like to go again!

Happy!!!

This is the third time we have stayed at Fogartyā€™s Compound! We always have a great time and quality time with our friends. This year we brought our daughter and her fiancĆ© and they also had a great and relaxing time! This was the first time went there in the winter. What a weird winter it has been. We were able to do a little bit of ice fishing and caught a few fish. One of my favorites things was to sit in the big sunroom in the big cabin with a roaring fire reading a book. Would highly recommend Fogartyā€™s Compound summer or winter!!!
