I was a little disappointed with my stay at Southcamp, especially as the many positive reviews were what initially drew me in. Unfortunately, the cleanliness and maintenance weren't up to standard expectations. There was sand throughout the shower from a previous guest, some cutlery still had dried food on it, and the curtain was partially off its rail despite requesting it be fixed twice. The bath towels were also quite worn, with some thin, bare patches. For the price I paid, I didn’t feel the experience reflected good value.
That said, there were definitely some positives. Jackie was incredibly lovely and helpful, and all the staff I interacted with were friendly. The bed was sooo comfortable, and the tiny home itself was cosy and well set up. The location is great with an easy walk to the beach, and I really enjoyed being able to use the complimentary e-bikes to explore the area.
Overall, while there were aspects I enjoyed, I probably wouldn’t stay again unless there was a special deal available.
