Harrowfield Homestead - 'The Homestead'

The Homestead, ideal for getaway with friends or family, can be booked for up to 8 guests in 4 bedrooms. With 2 bathrooms, 2 living rooms, WOOD FIRE, air-conditioning, a well equipped kitchen, verandah and terrace with weber-style gas BBQ and outdoor dining table it's a wonderful venue to enjoy a weekend escape.

THE POOL
After exploring Mudgee the pool is a wonderful place to relax. From here you overlook our beautiful valley and the Cudgegong River. You may see the cattle wander by as they head down to the Cudgegong River for a drink or perhaps watch some hay being made on the river flats.
(Pool not in use May -September)

TENNIS ANYONE?
Our all weather tennis court is there for a serious game or a gentle hit. Equipped with lights if you run out of time during the day. From here too you will have wonderful views and perhaps some curious cattle as onlookers! Racquets and balls provided.

THE FARM, by the Cudgegong River, is all around you. Enjoy the views from your verandah or terrace or take a walk and explore the river or the olive grove.

Depending on how many you need to accommodate book the church, the homestead or both for your Mudgee stay.

639 Castlereagh Highway, Burrundulla. Our Navman sends us to the wrong address if you leave out Burrundulla.

Directions from Mudgee: Head out the road to Sydney and keep an eye out for Rocky Water Hole Road on your left. Then you will pass Burrundulla Road also on your left. You will then head up over a small hill/rise and then our driveway is the first turn to your left. You will see a large sign saying Harrowfield. If you go past Lovettā€™s Lodge or Jessicaā€™s Vineyard you have gone too far. When you enter over the ramp, keep going straight on that road until you reach the Church. There is a small sign on the fence saying Church Parking this way.

Directions from Sydney: Keep an eye out for Logan Wines on your left hand side. We are about 7km from there. You will see Jessicaā€™s Vineyard on your right hand side about another 6km from Loganā€™s. You will then see Lovettā€™s Lodge on your left ā€“ we are the very next driveway on your right with the big sign saying Harrowfield.


Please note - if only booking the Homestead or the Church, you will not have sole use of the property. The pool, tennis court and surrounds will be shared.

When both the Church and Homestead are booked together 10 guests can be accommodated and your group will have sole use of the property.

Amazing stay!

This property is in such a great location with a view over farm paddocks and rolling hills. It is well away from the highway so no concerns there. The tennis court and swimming pool are in great order and the country, after the recent drought breaking rain, is beautiful. We will be back!

Oh so quiet and peaceful

We had a lovely stay. Long deep sleeps without any noise. Beautiful misty mornings that burnt off quickly. Spring was beautiful in the gardens. Loved the house. Will be back.

Harrowfield Homestead stay

Amazing location with spectacular vista from every view point. Immaculate gardens and very well appointed house. Enjoyed the freshly laid eggs from the hens on site and complimentary port. Only drawback is the main bathroom, very small and no separate toilet. For eight adults there needs to be at least a separate toilet. We had a group of six so it was ok. Overall excellent and we would certainly book again.

Peaceful country paradise

Harrowfield is a really beautiful country property. It is well located to Mudgee town and surrounding wineries. It is spacious, comfortable, clean and beautifully appointed. The garden is exquisite as are the views of the surrounding countryside from the bedrooms, the living room and the veranda. Fresh chook eggs were enjoyed by everyone. The pool was a treat after a hot day touring the wineries. Kids would love the trampoline and the chooks.

Burrundulla Beauty

We were lucky enough to stay at Harrowfield Homestead recently and what a picturesque location! The abundance of windows in the main living space make sure you get to enjoy the view as well as the many different locations outside where you can sit and enjoy all this property has to offer. We were a group of 3 adults and 3 children and the kids loved the tennis court, unfortunately it was still a bit cold for a swim but the pool was beautiful with ample lounges to relax poolside in the warmer weather. A short drive to Mudgee and even shorter one to several wineries, it was an ideal location for our stay. The bedrooms were spacious, linens and towels were great and all the basics were provided. Overall a wonderful stay and I wish we'd had longer than a weekend, I'm already missing the view!

Very pleasant house and totally clean. Fire was toasty warm and kitchen well equipped. We would have preferred having a seperate toilet instead of the toilet being in the main bathroom, for 4 couples. Cute chickens and lovely eggs. šŸ˜ A wonderful stay.

Harrowfield Homestead is set in a beautiful location with lovely views, and not too far from wineries and town. The living areas are generous and the wood fire is just awesome for chilly Winter nights. We sat out on the verandah and watched some spectacular sunsets. I would go back to this property to experience the pool and BBQ in facilities warmer months.

Lovely Mudgee experience!

Excellent views and welcoming ambience

Very private and welcoming.Beds were very comfortable and had electric blankets and heating available in all 4 rooms.Fireplace and air conditioning kept us very warm along with sun which shone through the large glassed lounge room.Kitchen well equipped. The only issue we had was with the water pressure which seemed very weak. Would rent again.

Perfect property for weekend getaway in Mudgee

After searching a number of websites for a property for a 3 night stay for 8 (4 siblings + partners) in Mudgee I decided to book Harrowfield. The photos on stayz do not do the property justice. Upon entering the front door we were overwhelmed with a relaxed warm cosy atmosphere with a raging fire that Diana had lit for us. We all enjoyed a good nights sleep thanks to the comfortable beds (and perhaps a few glasses of Mudgee wine!). The block out curtains in the larger than expected lounge room kept in the warmth during the night and when we opened them up in the morning the sunlight came streaming in. The beautiful view of the countryside rivalled any of the properties I have seen on ā€œescape to the country.ā€ I had a couple of questions on arrival and Diana replied immediately via return text with answers. Harrowfield exceeded all expectations! If you are planning on a visit to Mudgee look no further - stay at Harrowfield. Thank you so much Diana for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home.

Perfect country getaway

A beautiful house close to Mudgee. The house has been kept in excellent condition. There is so much space itā€™s great for families, giant yard, chickens, trampoline, tennis court and a pool. The view is amazing. I canā€™t fault it at all. Diana was lovely to deal with. Would love to come back and stay a bit longer next time! Highly recommend!
