"The cabin was a beautiful place to stay during our yearly fishing trip. The views were spectacular from both the cabin and dock. The surrounding area was quiet, aside from the sounds of nature. Regular sighting of the red fox population was a treat! All in all, a great vacation spot."

"This cabin is very cozy, and conveniently located just 10 minutes from Ely. The best part of our stay was fishing off the dock - we caught lots of panfish and several sizable bass! It's very nice this property offers an aluminum canoe, kayak and paddles for use on the lake."

"We had a wonderful stay. A charming little cabin for our family of 5 (4 year old slept on a mattress we brought). The highlight was kayaking at sunset and listening to the loons. I missed the detail about bringing our own bedsheets but Jay was so kind about it and brought us some extras he had. Would love to stay again! "

"I don’t normally leave reviews but this place is outstanding and one of the nicest houses on Lake Vermilion! We traveled here with my entire family(12 people) and everyone was blown away. The kids loved playing on the private beach, swimming in the lake, playing pool and foosball in the rec room. We brought our fishing boat and also rented a pontoon for the week. "Our place was more than we expected, so many thoughtful little add-ons, it’s a beautiful lake and property. Our kids were camping near by at Bear Head State Park and got rained out. Jay learned of that and txt me to say they could stay in an extra space he had instead of their wet tent - which they did! Jay was so thoughtful and generous, we very much appreciated his gesture. Highly recommend Wilderness Wind and look forward to coming back. "

"We *loved* our stay. I knew the location would be great (basically next door to the International Wolf Center in Ely), but I didn't know in advance how spacious, quiet, and green the place would be. We enjoyed playing a number of the board games in the evenings. My spouse and I were both especially taken by the adorable groundhog who lives outside under the deck, and who popped up at times to bathe in the summer sun. "
