Rústico Log Cabin em 3 Elk Creek com Vista Para a Faixa Collegiate

3 Elk Ranch is the gem of the Arkansas River Valley. Situated only 8 minutes from Buena Vista at an elevation of 8200 feet you can enjoy the beauty of the Collegiate Mountain Range (all fourteeners) as Elk, Mule Deer, and Antelope roaming the valley.

This beautiful log home is 3,000 sq feet on 130 acres with a wrap around deck sitting 20 feet from the 3 Elk Creek. The magnificent home is filled with views in all directions.

Our cozy home features a spacious living room facing Mt Princeton, a large kitchen and dining area facing Mt. Harvard, four master bedrooms, 3 ½ baths, and 2 kid bunkrooms. A kitchen with all the amenities needed for your stay.

You can enjoy breakfast coffee or evening cocktails on the large deck with views on all sides, and the rushing creek. Buena Vista and the surrounding areas feature Class V to Class III-IV rapids kayaking, fishing on the Arkansas River, hiking for all levels, mountain jeeping, mountain biking, back packing, horseback riding, and two Hot Springs only 20-30 minutes away.

Our stay at the Rustic Log Cabin was spectacular! The Cabin is fully stocked and has a beautiful design. It has beautiful views of the mountains right outside your window. It’s only a few minutes to downtown Buena Vista. I highly recommend this cabin, you won’t be disappointed!

The log cabin provided a quiet and convenient location for our group as we traveled between Buena Vista and Leadville. The garage space was excellent for storing bikes and the outdoor areas were great for relaxing.

Very well taken care off. Top of the line decorations.Hosts are super communicative.We saw deer right in the back yard one morning and another morning we watched a heard of deer walk across the open field. Cozy/rustic feel with all modern needs!

Fantastic retreat!

Our stay at the cabin at 3 Elk Creek was wonderful! We had 3 generations of family staying - from 60 to 1 years old - and the house was a great fit for all of us!My husband had fun exploring all the art and artifacts on the walls and shelves - so many antiques and special things to look at! We all loved that we had access to a creek and wildlife right out the back door, and saw pronghorns almost every day.The kids had fun feeding the hummingbirds and leaving sunflower seeds for the curious squirrels, and spending time on the deck and around the little creek.The house was well appointed with everything we needed, and the host and staff were very helpful! We had a death in the family and had to leave early, but our time there was memorable! We hope to return again!!

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. Loved sitting on the deck and listening to the creek. The only issues were that two of the sliding doors didn't work, and we couldn't open the garage door to get the grill out. We worked around it all, though. Great cabin in a wonderful location.

The property is INCREDIBLE. Stunning views with a lovely creek, ponds, and fun antique equipment. We saw a group of 10 pronghorn just chilling on the property, a huge jackrabbit, and an adorable woodpecker nest in the tree directly behind the property. The house itself is spacious! The kitchen is updated and well stocked with cookware. Some of the mattresses are a bit on the uncomfortable side for me but might be totally fine for others.We traveled with four adults and three kids ranging in age from 4 to 7, and everyone had a great time and plenty of room to spread out. I would definitely stay here again! Thank you for sharing your lovely property with us!!

Relaxing log cabin by a stream

Our family had a great time. Secluded log cabin hidden in a group of trees with easy access to BV. My family enjoyed sitting outside on the deck and listening to the stream.

Amazing!

This is the second time we have stayed here and once again, it did not disappoint. The house itself is so comfortable and there is plenty of room for our family of nine to spread out. The property is simply amazing. We went on walks, rode bikes, and no matter we did, our kids were always eager to get back to the creek to play. The location is convenient to town and lots of hiking. Lynne and Tracy were wonderful hosts and very responsive to anything we needed. We had an amazing vacation and hope to return again in the future!

Perfect for our family xmas gathering

My siblings and I and our spouses had a wonderful, cozy, and scenic Christmas week with my 90 year old father. Great kitchen for cooking large meals. We loved relaxing in front of the beautiful stone fireplace. Convenient to many attractions (Leadville, hot springs, Salida). But mostly just a great place to be together.

Beautiful, peaceful ranch

This property was beautiful inside and out! We enjoyed the views and sound of the creek running through. The inside is like a western museum! Very clean and comfortable. Nice beds, plenty of bathroom space and fully stocked kitchen. It’s a wonderful place to spend time.

Home away from my home

Beautiful and Comfortable!

This house and property are amazing! The house is spacious and comfortable. With six bedrooms and four bathrooms, there was plenty of room for nine adults. The land around the house is even more beautiful than in the pictures. We were enthralled by the mountain views and loved sitting by the creek. The property owners also allowed us to have our wedding at the property, and it was perfect. Thank you so much for the stay! We definitely want to come back.

Amazing!

This house and property are absolutely beautiful. The pictures do not do it justice. The house was perfect for our large family to have room to spread out, and the grounds are just awesome. Regardless of what we did during the day, our kids were always eager to get back to the house to play games, ride bikes, and play in and around the creek. The location is perfect also…out enough to make you feel like you are getting away, but very close/accessible to everything in town! Lynne was very responsive to everything we needed. We could it have asked for a better place to stay.

Winter wedding week

We were invited to a wedding on New Year's Day in Buena Vista and traveled from a number of different states to get there. We decided to turn it into a week vacation and not stay at the hotel but enjoy time together with family in a home. This home was perfect for a family vacation. It was roomy, numerous bathrooms and bedrooms and big kitchen that we could enjoy cooking together and having meals. I've already shared this house with friends out of state that may want to use it for their family vacation. We'd love to return and enjoy BV in the summer as well.

Loved Spending Christmas at 3 Elk Creek Cabin

We had a wonderful Christmas here with our adult children, their significant others, and my sister (there was 9 of us). We agree with the other reviewers that the house is even nicer than the photos show. We loved the rustic architecture and antiques. The kitchen and dining room were large for all of us to cook and eat together. The house was roomy and comfortable. All of the bedrooms were decorated nicely and very comfortable. There were plenty of bathrooms. There is a lot of land to just take walks on the property along with hiking and Buena Vista nearby. We also visited St. Elmo Ghost town, Cottonwood Hot Springs, Twin Lakes, and the Melenzana shop/Leadville. We even had snow on Christmas Eve and Christmas which was a surprise. We would definitely love to stay here again. Thank you very much!!
