  • Wyvern house is a large, modern, spacious and contemporary house located within a quiet and peaceful area in the town of Bude, Cornwall. 2 of Cornwall's finest sandy beaches are just 5-10 mins walk from the house and the towns amenities are also within a few mins walk. Key Features: Sleeps up to 18 persons, 8 bedrooms, 6 shower/bathrooms (3 En-suite), off-road parking for up to 8 cars, Free WiFi, Hot Tub for up to 5 persons at a time, Sauna for up to 8 persons at a time, Childrens Play Room complete with Pool table, Arcade Video games console with over 60 games, 50" TV ideal for games consoles such as Playstation and XBox (not provided), Free use of 8ft beginner surfboards and Bodyboards. To the rear of the house there are private (secured) large garden area's and a large level decked area, all of which are south facing with large level decked area incorporating outdoor tables and chairs for fantastic sun trap BBQ's. Incorporated in the garden area is a Hot Tub and Sauna which is included in your stay.

I would thoroughly recommend this property. It is ideal for a large family gathering. It has all you could need. It is walking distance of beaches and town. The house was spotless. Darron was an excellent host. Sad to be leaving.

Multi-generational celebration, including an ‘80th’ birthday, and A-levels and High School graduatio

Three generations of one family living in three different continents but getting together. We all enjoyed the facilities of Wyvern house. - the youngest enjoyed the play area and trampoline and Lego and books games and puzzles. The teenagers - aged 16 enjoyed the sun deck , hot tub and Sauna as did the parents - and the hours of chatting , and watching the lionesses reach the Euro2025 finals! And we all enjoyed the beach(es) and exploring Bude

Spacious house

Wyvern House

A large, spacious holiday home. Perfect for our multi-generational family. Close to the beach and shops. The games room,hot tub and sauna were very popular. It was well equipped and had everything we needed for our holiday. Many thanks Darron.

Family Holiday

Wonderful holiday in this beautiful home. Ideal for 14 of us. We loved the space, the hot tub, the sauna and the pool table were brilliant. Close to the beach, town and great places to eat (Sunday lunch at The Brendon Arms and a great meal at The Falcon) . Thanks so much 😊Xx

Family holiday.

Everything we needed. Very well equipped kitchen and comfortable furnishings. Large table on patio for eating outside. The hot tub and sauna were very popular. The garden had swings and a trampoline for the younger children.. very enjoyable holiday. Thank you. Very enjoyable

A family get together in Wyvern House

Wyvern House is as described in its listing. We were a family of 10 adults, 6 children and a couple of dogs. This first week of August the weather was not at its best so we had to use the house more than we expected. Due to its size and its facilities it allowed us to still have some fun when the weather was too bad. Its location is ideal as it is only 5 to 10 minutes walk from all amenities including restaurants, beach and shops, whilst still being in a quiet residential area. Darron, the host, was very responsive to any queries and Pauline was also helpful (hope my birthday cake was ok, btw). All in all a lovely week in Bude.

A perfect holiday for all the family aged 2 - 70!!!

An excellent holiday home for a large group of people. Lots of space and everything you need for your holiday. Set in a quiet neighbourhood with beach and town centre just a short walk away. A secure garden for the little ones to play in with a superb large decking area with a large table and plenty of chairs for everyone to sit around. The weather was perfect so we were able to sit out in the mornings for breakfast altogether. Most of our days were spent on the decking relaxing, with a nice bit of shade for those that needed it!! Hot tub was a perfect addition. Whether in the garden, on the decking or in the hot tub everyone could still join in with what was going on! Alot of time was also spent playing on the pool table and the games machine. Darron was a very helpful host from greeting us when we arrived, ensuring the hot tub was clean and safe to use each morning and ensuring the recycling was emptied every day (which he did without being heard and did not disturb anybody!!) He was helpful with his local knowledge on supermarkets and places to eat. We could not have needed anything else in a holiday home and would highly recommend it. 20th to 27th July 2019

WYVERN WELCOME

Right from the start we had a wonderful positive experience renting this beautiful property. We were a group of 11 8adults and 3 children. The place was absolutely spotless and homely. It was so well equipped we found everything we needed as we ate breakfast there each morning. The games room was a bonus in the evenings as was the lovely outdoor space. It was such a comfortable environment to relax in. It is situated in an excellent area so convenient for the town. Our host was so helpful on our first day which we appreciated so much after a long journey. The info pack is really useful too with great suggestions. We can honestly recommend this excellent property and want to thank Darron and his family for making our stay so memorable.

Family Xmas break

“Superb” and “fab-u-lous” were how our family described this property. Not only did it exceed all expectations in terms of size and facilities but it was beautifully decorated for Xmas with two lovely trees and welcome treats including a locally made xmas cake! Darron is a really exceptional host who always responded quickly and provided detailed helpful information both before and during our stay. We were a group of 12 including grandparents, small children and teenagers and there was plenty of room for everyone to relax and spend time together. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything that we needed for a large Xmas dinner. We also really appreciated the location, close to town and an easy walk to the beach and children’s play area. Thanks Darron! We would definitely love to come back 😁

Perfect family break

Darron was a great host and very helpful. The property had everything we needed, and more. It was in the perfect location with a walk to the town only a few minutes with still being located on a quiet street. A handy petrol station shop at the end of the road and a pub and park also a short walk meant we had everything in handy distance. The property itself was clean and had everything needed for our stay. Darron checked the hot tub everyday and was around if we needed him. I would definately recommend this property. Thank you Darron for making our trip a good one!

Family break

We have just got back from a family holiday staying at Wyvern House for a week. There were 10 adults and 1 child and Wyvern House was the perfect place to stay, spacious clean and located near the beach and all the amenities. Darron was extremely helpful before and during our visit. I would highly recommend this property for large groups. Thank you Darron

Fantastic Stay

Fantastic house, just what we needed for a family celebration. Spacious accommodation, loved the decking and lower garden, ideal for the twin grandchildren. Games room and hot tub a plus, kept us all amused evenings. Darron an excellent host who responded when we had problems with the dishwasher which had to be replaced. Some of the light bulbs didn’t work and needed replacing. The house being able to be divided up was excellent, ideal for our son’s family with four year old twins. We had a wonderful stay, would come again, roll on the next family celebration! Would definitely recommend. Thank you Darron.

Holiday in Wyvern House

Arrived early and was able to park on the drive, which was gratefully appreciated. The location was great for the beach, town and restaurants. The accommodation was everything we asked for and more. Which suited all ages in our party ranging from 16-76.

A lovely property in a brilliant location

I stayed at Wyvern with my whole family - 15 people from aged 9 to 79 and everyone had a wonderful time. The house is spacious and very well situated close to the centre of Bude with all of the shops, pubs, restaurants, the canal, river and the beach all close by. Also close to 2 large supermarkets which came in very handy. The outside decking area in the garden was a lovely place to sit in the day or the evening - could have done with some sun shades as we were there during the hottest week I can ever remember, but it didn’t stop us spending more time there than anywhere else. The rooms were lovely and the beds were very comfortable and the house was very practical and well equipped. The local pubs were lovely and even in these difficult Covid times were friendly and welcoming. Particular favourites were the Brendon Arms & Falcon hotel for drinks. I highly recommend a walk along the canal out of town to “The Weir” cafe-bistro. Lovely food in pretty surroundings. Darron, the host, was extremely helpful and friendly and coped with all of my questions and requests when planning the holiday, not least of all moving the holiday for us with no fuss at all due to the pandemic. A wonderful holiday, and considering when we went the house, the area, and the local business all coped extremely well during the (hopefully) tail-end of the pandemic. I can’t thank Darron enough for everything and we hope to be back again some day.

Great location!

The property location was perfect, close to the beach, restaurants and shops. The house was great, excellent cooking facilities and relaxing, lots of room to fit us all in (14 of us) and have meals together. The property was clean and generally well kept. We had a couple of small problems during our stay, but Darron was always quick to respond and resolve them. I would hesitate to recommend this property or return if we visit Cornwall again!

Great House and location

We were a party of 14 - adults, children and a dog! The house was a perfect size for us, a great space for everyone to spread out and lots of bathrooms too! Good facilities and a short walk from the beach and town. Darron was very good at communicating with us and very helpful throughout the booking process and during our stay. I would highly recommend this house and Bude!

Lovely stay in Bude

We have just come back from a lovely stay in Bude, the location of the property is superb and very close to the beach and town. Summerlease beach was lovely we spent most days there and the lodo is brilliant, a very safe beach with lots of lifeguards. The property itself was nice and the communication with Darron and the team was 100%, we contacted Darron who was in France as there was no cheese greater or BBQ accessories and within the hour the team were at the house with them. I would say that the outside of the property is nice but the decking area can get quite slippery when you are wet or its been raining. Also the path down to the hot tub isn't really that easy to get to if your not that good on your feet and this area may need some attention as when we were in the hot tub after it had been raining the roof had gathered water and was leaving through the roof onto my head whilst in the hot tub. All in all we had a lovely stay and would recommend this property to others.

August Escape

Wyvern House proved to be the perfect location for a large family holiday. Close to the town and beach, so no need to pay for parking. The hot tub was used frequently and a welcome addition. Bude is a lovely town and less crowded than some in the county. It's also a great base for visiting other parts of Cornwall and North Devon.
