"Nice hotel just off the highway. Plenty of parking available. Fast check in. The room was large and the bed was firm. They had soap, bodywash, shampoo and conditioner available in the bathroom. The breakfast was good. They offered turkey sausage, white egg omelets, hard boiled eggs, fruit and even gluten free muffins as well as all the other items typically offered for breakfast."

Shout out to Nick at the front desk who was professional, friendly and greeted us as we left for the evening and returned to the hotel. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The pillows were also very nice and not too thick like most hotel pillows. The location was excellent for access to Louisville via the new bridge or to Jeffersonville via I-265 or Highway 62. "On this trip, we stayed in 5 different hotels, and one (unnamed in Vergina was horrible to say the least) Our stay at the Candlewood was fantastic! Overall, the rooms were very clean and kept clean. The staff was very polite and helpful. On a long trip, it was a great add-on for the laundry room and had no additional cost to the guests. I would recommend it to anyone, and did to the family members that we went to visit. Thank you for the pleasant stay!"

"I was charged 60.00 by Expedia for breakfast and then the paper bill says extra guest. The hotel mgmt said, they don’t know why Expedia charged us that. The breakfast is free continental and there were 4 of us in one room 2 queen beds. I asked to be refunded the 60.00 and Expedia REFUSED! Never ever will I use them again. 30 years and this is how they treat us! I have emails and I called over 10 times and the hotel managers word."

"They allow pets and the dog nearby barked until very late at night with no intervention by the staff. The "Happy Hour" consisted of Beer on Tap for those who drink beer, but nothing else. The hotel is getting very run down with damaged doors, flooring and walls."

"We were there for 3 nights due to a graduation. The hotel has an elevator, and is convenient to the interstate and Sellersburg. You could tell they had recently remodeled, so everything is clean. The bed was comfortable, hard pillows. The breakfast was adequate, I love waffles so I was happy. We would stay there again"
