"Everything about life in France is here in this lovely house. Old yet practical, thick walls and shutters kept it cool in the hot sun. Sun and shade in the private garden. Views over fields and hills. Wake to the sun streaming in and the songs of nightingale and oriole. (Or can close the shutters for those who don't like early mornings)..We loved the walk down a pretty lane (half an hour) into Sauve for coffee in one of the shady squares, and bakers for bread and croissants. "Le gîte est suffisamment grand pour une famille de quatre personnes. Belle piscine très bien entretenue et très agréable. Les enfants ont bien profité de la piscine et de la table de ping-pong. Le village de Sauve est à deux kilomètres seulement, accessible à pied ou à vélo par un chemin. Pas mal d’activités sportives (canyoning, canoë, spéléo, randonnée...) et de visites possibles dans les environs, mais on peut aussi faire le choix de profiter du calme et de la piscine pour se reposer....

"Our hosts, Patrick and Yvonne, were delightful and so helpful with recommendations about the area—wineries, restaurants, things to see. With excellent English, it was easy to communicate.Although extremely hot the week we were there, the apt was very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and had a good-sized refrigerator. The apt and yard were very private and quiet. Although the place has not been updated, it was comfortable."
