We are fortunate to be located in some of the most picturesque scenery Stradbroke Island has to offer.
The cottage position is set against the backdrop of the stunning Stradbroke Island hill overlooking the shoreline.
There are plenty of opportunities for wonderful coastal walks near our house, it’s a great opportunity to get active.
Gaze out over the cliffs and let the calming sea view wash over you.
On a leisurely stroll experience the stunning view of one bay that forms "Frenchman’s Beach".
Sit and soak up the panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean from sun rise to sun set.

On the island one can explore and find fresh water lakes to swim in where you can have
a picnic.
Also, walk around a picturesque headland,
bring a racquet and ball and hire a tennis court,
go dirt bike riding, and
visit quaint coffee shops.

Stradbroke Island is located about 30 km from Brisbane with no other civilization in site – Stradbroke Island has beach escapism down to an art.
The pace of life is carefree.
There are plenty of stretches of fine, white sandy beaches with bright, blue waters of the Pacific Ocean to choose from where you can lay your towel. Have fun in the sun with activities like scuba diving or snorkeling to see turtles off Point Lookout.
Visit the museum on the West side and find out about the history of the island.
The island is small and compact.
There is an occasional open-air market with touristy souvenirs.
In Dunwich follow the signs to the beach ware shop.
Night clubs are not big on Stradbroke.
There is a small supermarket nearby the cottage.
In Point Lookout, Amity Point and Dunwich, the 3 local hamlets, there are small supermarkets, cafés, with restricted opening hours, that cater to tourists and where some seafood can be found.
