Cozy Weekend Away
Lakeside location was amazing! The deck is nice place to enjoy some coffee or a drink. The house is stocked with lots of fun activities like books/dvds/games. Overall great place for a cozy getaway! The space is on the smaller side so good for two people or three at most.

This was a great property right on Lake Champlain. It was quiet, remote, and a perfect cozy size for me. I love the location as my son has a farm in Bridgeport. I like sitting on the deck out on Lake Champlain. Great space. Small and quaint. Everything you need.

Perfect private getaway
The cabin exceeded expectations in accommodations (hot water, washer, clean shower and kitchen). The host even reached out a day early and offered us early check in and late checkout free of charge. Perfect little space for our couple’s weekend away with a beautiful view right out the back door!

Perfect place to unplug!
The cottage was so quaint and cozy. We appreciated the gas stove! The views of the lake by the dock were beautiful. Anyone wanting to unplug and enjoy nature would definitely enjoy this property. We forgot to take this trash out.. SORRY!!

Fall Getaway
The deck was a great spot with a beautiful view of Lake Champlain. We would have loved to spend more time on it but the weather didn’t cooperate. The cabin was the perfect size for the 2 of us.

Lake view from deck will not disappoint
Outdoor space just stunning. Loved the boats, swimming and monster sized deck! Sunsets are beautiful! Very quiet spot nestled in trees. Farmland all around make for fun cruising. R and R was exactly what we yearned for. Would not recommend sleeping more than 2 comfortably.

Cute and Cozy
We enjoyed our stay at this little cottage. Perfect for one or two people, it would be a tight fit for more than that. Our dog enjoyed exploring the yard. Nice access to the lake down stairs to a platform with chairs. Close to Crown Point, Fort Ticonderoga, and state parks. Neighbors are close by but with a fence in between and we had no issues. Good communications with the host. Thanks for the hospitality!

Perfect Getaway
My husband and I enjoyed staying at the cottage for our anniversary. The property was exactly as described, and we appreciated the use of the rowboat and kayak. The view of the lake was spectacular! It was hard to pull ourselves away from the deck. The screened porch offered a nice place to relax.

Lovely Lake Spot
The property was beautiful and had everything we needed. Everything was clean and in good working condition. The only possible drawbacks were that it is a 20-minute drive from town and any businesses and that it is quite small. We ended up not taking our dog at the last minute because it rained most of the weekend, and it's a good thing we didn't bring him because there was very little room left in the house after we brought our suitcases in!

Super clean, beautiful location, highly recommend!
This cottage was probably the cleanest rental I’ve ever had, and the location is perfect! I stayed alone with my dog, so we did spend quite a bit of time inside just relaxing and listening to the lake and nature. The bunnies are very active at night (fyi for dog owners lol). The neighbors on each side are really close if your main priority is privacy, but I lucked out as no one was at either property during my weekday stay. Lake Champlain is beautiful and the water access was good for my dog to have fun in. The view from the deck is truly breath taking. The cottage has everything you need and is quiet and cozy. I love the screened in porch!

Great place to relax
My husband and I just returned from a wonderfully relaxing five days at the cottage. It was perfect and exactly what we were looking for to get away from it all. The cottage was fully stocked and everything we could have wanted was there. Having Pratt's General Store right up the road, just in case, was also nice. It was still a little chilly,being the first week of April, but the cottage was cozy and a great place to relax after our busy days of exploring Vermont.

Everything was perfect minus the Electric going out a few times because of the heavy snow. Homeowner was fantastic. Called to let me know snow storm was on the way and how to prepare for it. Cute place highly recommend .

Amazing stay !
The area is wonderful. Far away from the city buzz. The rental was perfect for the two of us and the owner very friendly and responsive. Vermont in the winter is just beautiful. We would come back for sure !

Hidden gem
We have spend one week on this property and by far the very best vacation we have had for a long time. The house located in the quiet street, the views are absolutely stunning from the deck. Inside the house have everything and more to enjoy and relaxing. Yes, it’s small but equipped with everything you need. Very clean and comfortable.The perfect gateaway from a busy life. The owner was really nice and helpful. We loved here so much and can’t wait to come back next year.

The "Cozy Cottage" was small, but designed and appointed with artistic ingenuity. There is a spacious screened-in porch which adds utility in good weather. The cabin is at the upper edge of a wooded slope going down to Lake Champlain. A well-constructed walkway leads to a spacious pavilion at the lakeside. The views of the Adirondacks across the Lake are awesome. We found great swimming at Kingsland Bay State Park, about 35 minutes away. We thoroughly enjoyed our week-long stay here.

Short Break at Cozy Cottage
Great location on Lake Champlain. Cottage is small but cozy and has everything you need and more. All you bring is your personal stuff and food. Property manager is easily reached and wanted to make sure we had all we needed.

Perfect birthday weekend!
We had a wonderful time here & can't wait to get back! The place is quaint & perfect for a romantic getaway. We loved the views from the deck & were very pleased to find an electrical outlet on it so my boyfriend could play guitar while we relaxed by the water. Definitely coming back when it's warmer to take advantage of the kayak the owners are kind enough to share. Overall we had an amazing time & very much enjoyed this cabin!

Wonderful Getaway on the Lake
Our first getaway in over 2 decades, we thoroughly enjoyed this little cabin on the Lake, very close to where we met in Vergennes 38 years ago. It had everything we needed to just let our hair down and relax for a few days, very comfortable and Steve was great. Highly recommended.

Quiet Lake Respite
We loved staying at this cottage. Stephen was super responsive and helped with everything we needed. We had to adjust our check-in time and he was incredibly kind and accommodating. The location itself is very isolated and to get to any semblance of a town/shopping area is about 25 minutes driving time minimum. However, Middlebury had great stores and was definitely perfect for any needs we had. There’s only one or two floodlights on the property and since it was the winter (no other neighbors around/lights on), it was intimidating to go out at night as it was incredibly dark - a little more lighting would have made the backyard/porch/deck a bit more inviting after the sun sets. The house itself is incredibly tiny but just perfect. There wasn’t much room to put baggage in bedroom but luckily, copious shelving and hangers so you can really unpack. The brand-new washer-drier was a huge plus, as was the pretty large and stocked kitchen. We made every meal (I am a chef) and found it to be a breeze. The view from the kitchen, porch, and lake deck were stunning. We had an amazing time using our binoculars to look across the lake and down at all the ice-fishers. The only issue we experienced was that the sliding back-door (to the porch) lock was broken, though Stephen provides a wooden dowel to place at the bottom to block the door from sliding (we’re from NYC so making sure the door is unopenable overnight is important to us, though the area itself is pretty desolate and quiet). Overall, this cottage was perfect for our needs and we would highly recommend the property/Stephen for any guest looking for a quiet and small lake stay!

Comfy local getaway
I needed a little getaway from my day-to-day, so I decided to stay at Stephen's cottage. I was able to take my dog which made the stay even more enjoyable. The access to the lake is beautiful and even though I was there at a season where the lake was not the focus, I still enjoyed seeing the water out the windows. The place has a lot of small special touches, built ins and really well placed lighting. I had everything I need and was nice and cozy on a cold, blustery night. I highly recommend this small cottage for a special retreat away from home!
