"We really enjoyed out stay at the hotel and would go back again next time we are near York on holiday."
"Nice room, host responded to queries very quickly. Iron, ironing board and hairdryer were all very much appreciated as we needed to get ready for a wedding. "
"Disappointing that there was no air conditioning. There was just a plug in noisy fan which made sleeping difficult in the heat. Other than that everything was great."
"Two adults and 2 children stayed in no2 cottage. A compact one bedroom cottage with a large comfortable bed and sofa bed in sitting room. Kitchen has all you need for short stay. Vehicles kept in gated area, so very secure. Stu and his wife are friendly, their breakfast was excellent quality for price (additional charge). This must be the cheapest pub in the UK.(£3 pint) Overall we had a very pleasant 3 nights. Thank you. "

A couple of small things: 1- It would have been nice to know there was a flight of narrow stairs to get to room, 2- Bathroom sink is blocked by overhanging cabinets, toothbrushing very difficult, 3- bathroom door drifts open against the bed unless closed and then the bathroom is very hot. The breakfast served in the morning is truly exquisite. The room and the hotel in general seemed very clean, in excellent condition despite being an old building, and safe.
