Special Amenities:
Luxury Indoor Aquatics Center @ One Ski Hill - This is our luxury sister property right at the base of Peak 8 and you can either ski right down to it at the end of the day or have the shuttle take you to the front door and get a key at the front desk. There is an indoor pool, kids zero entry pool and large hot tub, as well as, steam and dry saunas and fully equipped men's and women's locker rooms (soap/shampoo/conditioner all in the showers). There are large comfortable chairs and chaise lounges to relax in. There is a bar/restaurant in the lodge on level 1 if you want to grab a beer or glass of wine (in a plastic cup) to take into the aquatics center.

Bowling Alley and Media Rooms: You can book these at one ski hill same day by just calling in the morning for availability. This is great for a night when you want to stay in and order pizza which they can deliver to you there.

Getting Around:
Mountain Thunder Lodge is located across the street from the main shuttle stop exchange and the Breck Connect Gondola accessible via the underground passage. There is also a free private shuttle operated by Mountain Thunder Lodge and available from the lobby.

Parking Information:

If you need additional parking, the Town of Breckenridge offers paid overnight options in two convenient locations: 1) south of town at the Stephen C. West Ice Arena, and 2) north of town at the Airport Road satellite lot, which also accommodates RVs and trailers.

Colorado Traction Law:
From September through May 31, the Colorado Traction Law is in effect for all drivers traveling on I-70 between Morrison and Dotsero as well as US-285 to Breckenridge . This law mandates that vehicles must be equipped with either four-wheel or all-wheel drive and snow-rated or mud + snow tires. Alternatively, vehicles with two-wheel drive must have winter tires, chains, or other traction devices. Ensuring your vehicle is properly equipped is essential for safe winter driving in Colorado. If you’re renting a car, be sure to confirm with your rental company that your vehicle meets these requirements.

Please be aware that during the winter months, roads and driveways are likely to be snow-covered or icy, making four-wheel drive (4WD) or all-wheel drive (AWD) essential for safe travel. Overall the property location was very conveniently located to town and also to the Gondola to take you to Peak 8. The unit did get a tad warm but there was a fan that was provided in the closet to help move the air around. The family loved the hot tubs that were available and the heated pool!

Great property, great location. We received a ton of snow during our stay which is great, but because the unit is facing the gondola/parking areas, we heard beeping from the snow plows from like 3 or 4 am every day for several hours so we lost a good amount of sleep. But we were happy for the fresh powder!!

We loved being close enough to walk to gondolas for peak 8 and that there was a shuttle for quick and easy access to peak 9. Fun pool and hot tub right across the road. Great stay!

We enjoyed being in Breckenridge with so much to see and do with great weather. The condo was advertised as being on the serene side of the property which was very misleading. The condo faces the Highway and had very loud traffic, including trucks, from early morning until late at night. In the summer with needing to open the windows, the noise was very disturbing. We do not recommend staying here in the summer. The carpet is also in need of cleaning or replacement.

I loved my stay here in every way!! The proximity to the lifts in Main Street was amazing and the shuttle service was fantastic. I wish I could have picked up the keys to the unit at the front desk instead of at a different location but maybe they’ll work that out in the future? The unit was adorable and clean. My only complaint was that the thermostat stayed at 72 which made it uncomfortably warm to sleep. Having said that, I brought it up to management and they were going to address it with maintenance so hopefully that’s figured out for the next guest. The bed was very comfortable and the accommodations were perfect. Note: It would be nice to have small portions of things you need to cook with like olive oil, and salt and pepper. Ty they did provide local coffee to get you started and that was tasty. They had laundry facilities that were complementary, and that was much appreciated to be able to wash our ski clothes! I hope to return to this exact unit this time next year. Thanks for a great stay!

This was a wonderful location for accessing the town and ski area. Nice staying in the lodge, where we were close to the ski lockers, hot tub and fitness center, and the ski-in to the building was great. The property manager as well as front desk people provided great communication and assistance and the shuttle is convenient for going to dinner. The condo says it sleeps 4, but that would be tight for 4 adults as the room space is small and closet/drawers are small and limited. We had stayed at this location before so we expected it, but if we had 2 other adults we would not have liked the cramped space. Overall a very nice time.

Amazing location!!! Unit was clean and in decent shape. We struggled keeping it cool. It got very warm in our unit and we couldn’t cool it down unless we opened the windows. The sofa bed wasn’t great. Hard to close and open and is really only meant for one as it sucked you into the middle of the mattress. Also would suggest adding a fan in the bathroom. Other than that- we were very pleased.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The Mountain Thunder complex is within walking distance of most of the town of Breckenridge, and between the gondola just across the street and the free shuttle, it is very easy to get to the mountain. You can also ski right to the door of the building. The property manager was a joy to work with, and there was nothing that we found lacking, not working, not clean, etc. If there was anything we would suggest to the owner, it is to move the chair that is next to the right side of the bed and replace it with a nightstand. The unit also has a lot of furniture in it, and it makes it pretty crowded. Pretty minor comments all in all.

The unit was situated in an ideal location; short walk to gondola and to town. The unit was clean and had all of the listed supplies; free washer and dryer right down the hall. Probably the best spot we've ever stayed at in Breck. Super close to lift, ski in accessibility, close proximity to bars/restaurants. Didn't even need to use our rental car the entire time. Very clean, well-stocked unit. Big balcony. Friendly staff at the front desk. Wonderful accommodations. Great value for the price. I'd totally stay there again.
