Location, Location, Location….. Welcome to one of the nicest condos in Mountain Thunder Lodge. Our condo is perfect for families or guests of 4-6. Our condo is one of the only condos in the building that has 2 queen beds in the guest bedroom. We also have a king bed in the master suite and a pull out queen in the living room. You will absolutely love the proximity to town of Mountain Thunder, we are 200 yards from the gondola and 2 blocks from some of the best restaurants and shopping on Main Street Breck. Our property is a ski in property via the gondola ski back trail which takes you literally to the back door of our building. Our condo is a corner end condo on the first floor and we have very few common walls with other condos making it a very quiet and comfortable. You will also love our L-shaped oversized deck with views of Mt. Baldy and Peak 9. For our summer guests, our property has back door access to hiking/biking trails, an easy walk to town and the outdoor pool is just a few yards away.

Mountain Thunder Lodge is a Vail managed property but we have chosen to rent the condo ourselves so you don’t have the $25 daily resort fee that Vail Resorts charges. If you weren’t aware, Vail resorts owns the Breckenridge ski resort.

We have done several renovations in the last few years including, new flooring, furniture, light fixtures, artwork, area rugs, new TV’s in the bedrooms, 55” TV in the family room and new Serta euro top mattresses in the master and guest bedrooms. We also have a lot of hooks, 4 doors with 5 hooks on each door. If you have ever skied with a family of 4 you will understand the importance of hooks to put your ski stuff, hats, coats, gloves, etc. We also have a ski locker in the ski storage area that holds 4 sets of skis.

You will love the amenities that Mountain Thunder Lodge has to offer. You will be welcomed to lodge with a beautiful grand entry with a large stone fireplace, wood beams, and elegant slate floors. This welcoming area has over sized couches and chairs to relax by a crackling fire after a perfect ski day.
Some of the other amenities of Mountain Thunder Lodge include:

• Heated underground free parking with elevator access to the main lodge.
• Luggage carts located in the heated garage.
• Two fitness facilities, one located at MTL and one located at One Ski Hill Place.
• Heated outdoor pool, pool house and hot tubs open year round.
• Complimentary coffee and newspaper in the morning.
• Outdoor gas barbecue grills.
• Outdoor jungle gym located next to the outdoor pool.
• Free DVD rentals.
• Resort shuttle for free transportation and pickup around town.

We also belong to the Mountain Masters Association which gives our guests access to private shuttles that will take you around town and all of the amenities of One Ski Hill Place. Additional amenities to One Ski Hill Place, a sister property of Mountain Thunder lodge include:

o Mineshaft bowling alley – reservations are suggested.
o Fitness center with treadmills, elliptical and weights.
o Two indoor pools and hot tub.
o Outdoor hot tub.
o Spa including steam room and sauna with beautiful male and female changing areas.
o Pool table / Game room.
o Two media rooms with video games (Wii & PlayStation), DVD and theater style seating for 8.
o Free DVD and game rentals.

Beautiful property close to ski runs and town

Mountain Thunder Perfect

This is our second time staying at Mountain Thunder. We brought our 16 year old daughter this time and the 2/2 was perfect for us. The unit was super clean, comfortable and quiet! Highly recommend and super convenient to Gondola and ski right to back door. We will definitely be back.

The perfect spot!

We can’t say enough great things about this condo! It was an home base for skiing, walking to town, and enjoying everything Breckenridge had to offer. After a day of skiing, we loved being able to relax in the hot tub. We could walk to town for shopping and meals. The facility had parking, a fitness center and laundry. We would live to stay here again when visiting Breckenridge!

An amazing stay

The property was exactly what we were looking for. Close to town but also close to the Gondola up to Peak 8 via a tunnel that makes it easy to access. One of the trails even ends at the property so it was a true ski-in property.

Great Family Vacation

My family and I had a wonderful stay at your condo. Beds were compatible, plenty of towels, and extremely clean. We loved the location in building one that we were able to ski right in at the end of the day. The shuttle provided was a great easy way to get to the base of the mountain or if we wanted to go somewhere in town. The unit’s location to town made it easy to walk to and we mostly did that instead of taking the shuttle. Thank you for sharing your condo with us. We hope to come back and stay again one day.

Great Location for Everything!

We were very happy with the quality of the property, as well as the location. We could easily walk to the gondola to access the ski area and resort. Then simply skin right back to the building at the end of the day. Walking into town was easy and not far at all. I will be staying here again.

Beautiful Condo

We enjoyed everything about this condo - well maintained, clean, and comfortable. My husband and I slept in the bedroom with the king bed, which was extremely comfortable. If I have any complaint at all, it’s that the unit is next to the busy street and could be very noisy with buses and trucks going by.

Great family stay

Clean, comfortable and cozy—all we needed for a much-needed family vacation on the slopes. The location made it perfect with easy access to town and transportation. Beds were comfy and we spent time at the table during meals and game time. A real treat!!

Mid Ski Season

Fantastic place. Really comfortable. This is a sister facility to one ski place…can take the MMA shuttle there and use their hot tubes, movie theaters, bowling and pool room. Great place. The only knock would be you are right above the garage entrance and can hear the door opening/closing…especially early in the morning. Woke us up, but not a big deal. Worth the location!!!

great condo but needs toiletries

We loved the location and the ease of getting in and out on the first floor. Loved being able to walk to town and the gondola and the ski lockers. Issues we had, no toiletries in the bathrooms. We happened to bring our own soap, shampoo etc but my friend did not. Didn't see where it was advertised that we had to bring our own. Found a very small round bar of soap in the master shower. Would be nice if you could get dispensers of body wash, shampoo and conditioner for the showers. A lot of places are going to that. We also have to buy our own hand soap for the bathroom sinks. If you are not going to supply toiletries bottles then let folks know that in the description. Maybe I missed it or maybe I should have asked. Had to go to the front desk at midnight on Saturday night of our stay because the condo across from us was very loud with music and partying, it was around midnight. Maybe the complex can post when quiet hour starts. Hated getting out of bed to walk down the hall to complain. I was not happy. Otherwise I will stay there again if we go back to Breckenridge. Just got back from 6 days at this condo. Myself, my partner, and another couple stayed. We had the BEST time and this condo was PERFECT. PROS: > LOCATION. You can ski to the condo building (literally to the back door) from Peak 8. There is a room of ski lockers that are included with the room. It was seriously a game changer being able to ski home everyday. 5-10 minute walk to the gondola and to Main Street. There's an underground walkway that keeps you off the street en route. The best location. > HOT TUB. One in the back of the building and then 2 across the street. > FIREPLACE in unit was so cozy. > All TVs in the unit were connected to Dish network. It sounds silly, but it was SO nice. We were able to have the TV on at night while making dinner or in the morning while making breakfast. > The condo has pretty much everything you could need in terms of functionality. There were linens, towels, kitchen utensils, coffee filters, dishwasher pods, papertowels, etc. CONS: >Legitimately the only con we could think of was that there is no washer and dryer in the unit. There is one on the second floor which was easy to use, was just a hassle. >The guest bedroom could have more storage (like a bigger dresser) and have better lighting. Was a bit dark. Had the best time at this unit. Will 100% recommend it to anyone and will plan to stay again when coming back to Breck.

Perfect location

The condo was perfectly located within walking distance to the slopes and town. We especially enjoyed ending the day skiing down directly on the 4 o’clock trail right to our door. The condo was also very spacious and clean and had everything we needed. Loved the gas fireplace too! Kept us so warm and cozy!
