The best of Brda is within a 10-minute drive: Šmartno, the medieval walled village first recorded in 1317, invites slow wanders through its gate towers, a celebrated meal at Hiša Marica and tastings at the village vinoteka, while the Gonjače lookout tower nearby spirals up to a panorama of the whole region.

The property is close to designated bathing areas along the Soča River, in Ložice and Kanal. These are great places for swimming and relaxing, and both locations also have cafés nearby.
