x The house is a converted barn and granary divided into two apartments one
for the owners and one for the guests. The property is decorated to a high standard with breath taking views over the surrounding countryside. Sun loungers. garden table and chairs are provided for our guests comfort so you may spend the days relaxing around the pool, the courtyard or the grounds soaking up the peace and tranquillity. A BBQ is provided in the courtyard. The apartment has one large bedroom, a lounge/diner, kitchen, shower room and a lobby with doors opening up onto the courtyard and a few steps away from the pool. The pool is 10 x 4 meters and is private but shared with the owners on occasions. There are beautiful views from the pool which has a covered area should you wish to eat round the pool. Dining out and shopping is no problem as we are 5 mins drive from Brantome, the Venice of the Perigord which is a small market town surrounded by the gently flowing river
Dronne. On one side of the rive is the splendour of the magnificent 9th century abbey and the oldest bell tower in France. On the other side is a maze of narrow streets with a wealth of restaurants, bars and shops. A bustling market fills the town every Friday morning where you can purchase all kinds of, produce, clothes, jewellery, souvenirs. Activities include, canoe hire, boat trips, fishing, tennis, rock climbing, horse riding. There is a municipal golf course 20 mins away in Perigueux which is the capital town of the Dordogne. Perigueux is a bustling town which has music festivals, night markets, shopping, museums, art galleries as well as plenty of restaurants and bars. The pretty little town of Bourdeilles is approximately 15 mins away where there is a stunning chateau, restaurants and canoe hire. From St Crepin de Richemont you can travel south to visit the ancient towns of Sarlat, Montignac and Souillac and the river Dordogne. There are many caves to visit on the way also. Perigueux is the county town of the Dordogne and has markets on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Piegut has a large market on Wednesdays and the market in Brantome is every Friday. St Esteph boasts a pretty man made beach on the lake with pedloes, cafes etc. There are many lakes if you wish to fish. Locally there is rock climbing and horse riding. The apartment has central heating if required but this is subject to a separate charge. Normally this is not necessary during the season.
