"Yes, this home is every bit as cozy & comfy as described! Immediately felt its charm. Beautiful view of the water from the sliding glass doors. Pine Tree Inn for a meal is less than 5 min. away. Snowmobile access was just down the road 1/4 mi. For any ATT cell users, there is minimal to no signal, but if you stand just outside you can hop onto the WiFi. Well stocked with all necessities! "My cousins and I very much enjoyed our 2nd stay at the Matteson’s rental cabin. It’s the perfect home base for a trip to Old Forge. It has everything you need - comfy beds, a nice bathroom with shower, kitchen with fridge, microwave, and regular coffee maker, and a fire pit. We were grateful for the air conditioning too. Bridget is a kind and responsive host. We hope to come back ASAP! :)"

"Very convenient location quick walk into the village. The house was clean and well stocked and very beautiful with lovely art work. If you have a little one, everything you need is there (ours is one) so it's a lot less you have to pack. Our six year old nephew LOVED his room with the bunk beds, the kids books and toys. The owners are quick to respond and answer any questions you might have. We had a great time kayaking. Can't wait to stay here again. "

"My in-laws an my husband were camping in Old Forge for years and this time we got back with our kids to show them Adirondack mountains. Everything was great! The property is big, clean and ready to accept renters. Large fire pit was the place for our evenings with kids and grandparents. The balcony was our place for breakfasts and dinners. Very homie atmosphere. Close proximity to Old Forge. Loved it and will be back for sure!"

"This was our family’s 4th summer to the ADKs. This cabin was by far the BEST one! It had everything a family would need. Space, peacefulness, fully stocked with whatever you would need (from the kitchen to bathrooms to wood for the campfire). The kids never said they were bored once. "This cabin was beautiful, no detail missed. The kitchen was well stocked, the furniture was comfortable and there were plenty of towels for our group of 7, which usually is not the case. The upstairs slept all of us comfortably and the bed curtains were a beautiful touch that added the perfect amount of privacy. The location of the hot tub and fire pit were perfect to allow our group to enjoy either while still being able to maintain conversation. No complaints. Definitely recommend a stay here "
