When we walked into the building, in spite of the NO Smoking signs posted everywhere, the entryway and sitting area reeked of marijuana and cigarette smoke, as well as several young men sitting around vaping. I am severely allergic to cigarette smoke and was assured that all rooms were NON-Smoking, so we went ahead and checked in. When we went upstairs, the hall was fine, but when we entered the room, the smell of cigarette smoke was so strong that I immediately started having a reaction. (There was also the cockroach climbing up the wall that freaked my kids out.) We went back downstairs and checked out. The manager was really sweet about refunding our money because her Mom is also allergic to cigarette smoke and assured me that the bug situation would be taken care of immediately. That said, I do feel for them because you can post signs everywhere, but if guests are determined to smoke, there is nothing you can really do about it
