"A beautiful house in a lovely location. My room was extremely comfortable, as was my bed. The bathroom was great, with a powerful shower. Breakfast was fantastic, and the owners waited for me when I arrived late from the ferry coming in to Portsmouth, which I hugely appreciated. A lovely, peaceful B&B. "

"Upon entering, the room smelt strongly of mould and damp. There was mould all over the bedroom window and the smell also came from the bathroom. The bathroom door latch didn't work, so the door didn't stay closed. The bathroom extractor fan is caked with dust, the bath looks like it hadn't been cleaned, the panel looks incomplete and the grouting is mouldy in the shower. "Lovely hotel, staff really friendly. Free parking round the back of the hotel with space for about 10 cars. Breakfast was included with our room. The breakfast consists of self serve cereals, fruit juices and water then you order from a menu for the rest of your breakfast. We opted for poached eggs on toast and the poached eggs were perfect. There are 14 rooms available at this hotel which is above a pub. There isn’t a lift so if you have mobility issues you may struggle. No air conditioning...

"Really nice stay, staff very helpful and accomodating, we were on the top floor and the room was very warm but the whirlpool bath was an unexpected bonus. Only negative was people smoke just outside the restaurant and bar and with the windows open the smoke came im. A separate smoking area away from the hotel would be better."

"We had a great stay here. The staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful, our room was perfectly adequate for us and our young puppy to use as a base while we explored the New Forest. We will def be back! Martyn, Sarah, Rosie and Guinness the dog"

"The hotel was excellent, but the service in the restaurant, especially for breakfast was not good. We had to chase our cooked breakfast 3 times, and waited for over 30 minutes. TBF they apologised and the breakfast was deducted from our bill. The housekeeping staff, especially Sally were more than excellent, and went to great lengths to make our stay comfortable. "Did not have breakfast, but evening meal was good. Room was okay but for the three nights we stayed we didn’t get bed made or tea/coffee replenished or the small bin emptied. As for the noise from people using rooms above us it was a nightmare (do not choose room 3) Was not impressed "
