"This is the second time we have stayed at the Bears Paw.
booking was easy and Hotels.com very helpful in how to upgrade room. We initially booked a standard room at a very good price especially as it included breakfast, However the standard bedrooms have a shower over the bath and so anyone with mobility issues might find this difficult to access. We paid for an upgrade and what a wonderful Superior room it was. Huge with a long bathroom with bath and a double shower and beautifully soft towels...
"Superb accommodation. Very clean, comfortable and spacious. Great shower. Perfect location10 minutes stroll to town and 30 mins walk to the brewery. Best thing about this place though is the staff - amazing - really friendly, helpful and kind. Great pub serving Jaipur, which is my favourite beer. Didn't take the opportunity to enjoy the live music as we were there for rest but we would take it up next time we stay. Btw don't be put off by late night music. The rooms are very very quiet. "I reserved the Wimslow Lodge through hotels.com which had never failed me before. They gave a price to be paid at check in but the Wimslow Lodge charged 30 pounds more. I presented proof of the reservation to the receptionist who disregarded it and maintained the price she had asked for. What a shame!!!"
"The venue is amazing and located in a beautiful area. The reception area and lobby are really nice areas and the bar and restaurant are lovely too. The food in the restaurant was fantastic a d the staff were brilliant everywhere. The spa facilities, pool, sauna, steam room and indoor and outdoor jacuzzis were fantastic. The room was incredible and really cool and refreshing on the hottest day of the year, it was awesome.

"Stared well but on the hottest day of the year the ac in the room was broken and the ceiling was stained i tried to use the pool to relax but there was an aqua aerobics class 😣 spoke to Mary on reception who was very kind and as they couldn’t fix the ac and my disappointment re the poo they moved me to a better room excellent customer service

"Excellent hotel near to picadilly station; there is a free bus that takes you downtown near the hotel; breakfast is excellent. It is near pucadilly gardens, where there are many restaurants. Great stay!"
"The hotel is quite old, and the room had an unpleasant smell. It was warm inside, and although there was a fan, it wasn’t sufficient to cool the space. The door didn’t feel very secure, and there were some suspicious people around. Unfortunately, the staff were not particularly friendly either. I wouldn’t stay here again and do not recommend it."
