Pool was shut down for maintenance for 1/2 of our visit. Owner unwilling to communicate to reach a fair adjustment on price to make up for no pool. Would not rent from this owner again.

The biggest plus to this condo is the large view of the bay with the sunrise, bird and dolphin traffic, the flying fish and being able to view of misc nautical vessels all day. Another benefit is that someone took advantage of the quarantine to do some nice upgrades in the kitchen and bathrooms. The kitchen is well supplied but there is a LOT of pre-used items that need to be thrown out. The AC worked like a champ. A supply of all the beach towels you will ever need. There is a king size bed that sleeps great. The other bedroom has a full size bed and a trundle (but it’s hard to access the trundle bc of floor space). The main draw back is that some of the furniture is in serious need of an upgrade. The property is well kept and very clean. The pool is well kept and big enough to share with others.

I will definitely be back to Runaway Bay. The property was older but well-kept and has the largest pool on the island. The location was awesome, views from the unit of Anna Maria sound and right across the street from the beach access. Very close to some other great beaches too. Close to longboat key, Sarasota, and Bradenton shopping and restaurants. The only complaints about the unit was that not one of the three smoke detectors were in working order. The bathroom and balcony tile floors we're filthy. That should be addressed, but would definitely go back!

The condo was suitable for my family of 5 and the grounds of the complex are beautiful. Having the bay behind the condo and the gulf a short walk away was very nice. Also, there is an osprey that hangs out in a tree behind the unit; it was cool to watch him display his fishing abilities. The only thing I will say as constructive criticism, which other renters have said, is that the beds in the 2nd bedroom are extremely squeaky. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Nice condo with a Bayview and < 5 minute walk to the beach. Location not too far from Bradenton pier, about a 15 minute walk. Not a luxury place but very nice. No real complaints.

The pictures of the unit are accurate. The view of the sunrise on the Bay and sunset on the beach is awesome. The master bed is comfortable but could use a new comforter set for it. The beds in the second bedroom are not comfortable at all. They need to be replaced or at the least some type of memory padding to help with comfort. The check in and out process was super easy. The manager was easy to get in touch with and responded to any issues immediately. The unit has a storage room on the balcony with several beach items that may be used. The walk to the beach is not bad at all. It’s worth the walk to have a bay view.

Very relaxing here. Friendly neighbors. Quiet with easy access to everything. We enjoyed the Smoqehouse restaurant steps from the property. Gulf front beach is a quick walk away. Since I’m a member, I used the Bradenton Y which was convenient. The only suggestion is the king box spring is noisy. Thanks for sharing this nice place with us.

The unit was very comfortable for 5 people with all the amenities required, and in a convenient location on Anna Maria Island. The only thing the unit was far from the main street from which we walked across to the beach. We would have liked it better if closer to the road.

We really enjoyed our stay in this unit at Runaway Bay. Runaway Bay is a good location on the island and it is very easy to walk to nearby restaurants and shops, or you can take the trolley which runs north/south almost the entire length of the island. Unit 242 is very nicely furnished and was a great place for our family of 5. We only had a few very minor constructive criticisms: 1) Communication with the property manager was poor. I tried to use the VRBO messaging system to ask questions but they would not respond. They said they would email answers to questions posted through VRBO but those never came either. The only way to get answers is by phone call. We also never received our check in instructions, until I called and requested them. 2) It would be nice if the listing described what types of cooking items are in the unit, so we wouldn't have brought our own pans and other cooking things. 3) It would be nice to know that the unit includes a number of beach chairs and other items, so we wouldn't have had to pack all of ours. 4) My kids slept in the second bedroom and they said the beds were not very comfortable. My wife and I liked the bed in the master bedroom, but they said the beds in the second bedroom were noisy and not comfy. 5) I thought that the extra "hidden" fees on top of the per night rental were excessive. $95 for a damage waiver fee, which I did not ask for, was really dumb. There also was $115 housekeeping fee, and an additional $177 "service fee". I have no idea what the service fee was for. It was quite frustrating to be charged an extra $622 for fees and taxes to rent a place that is already pretty spendy at $250 per night. I am only posting these items to help the owner & property manager improve in the future. We REALLY liked this condo and would definitely stay there again. The pool at Runaway Bay is super nice, and it's fantastic to have a 5 minute walk across the street to get to the ocean. Thanks for a fantastic vacation!

Thus was our first time staying in Bradenton Beach, and this place was in a great location, right across from the beach. The view of the sound from our living room was fantastic. The pool was very nice and well kept, a little cold though. The unit was clean however some improvements would make it much better, such as a new patio door in the living room, a toaster. The floors also need to be cleaned, and some of the wall plugs would not work with my I phone charger. The guest bedroom mattress and/or springs need to be replaced.
