About Daisy Hill

Daisy Hill is a beautiful, 74 acre country retreat set amongst rolling hills, lush pastures and beautiful gardens and trees. The property oozes style, relaxation and history, having been a working dairy farm for over 100 years. With beautiful mid-century interiors and plenty of space for everyone, Daisy Hill is a perfect option for up to 10 guests - 8 in the main house and 2 in the cottage. The house has a beautiful north facing sun room with period arches, French doors, and super cosy couches. The master bedroom has a private reading nook with a lazy chair to fall asleep in! The huge lawn is perfect for the kids and you can safely stroll around the house paddock with its lovely laneways, fruit trees and farm buildings. Daisy Hill is now a Black Angus cattle farm, so offers an authentic farm stay experience, coupled with luxury and style!

Sunday brunches for Mali Brae weddings

Daisy Hill is perfect for Sunday brunches, after a wedding event at Mali Brae. Sunday brunches are however Only permitted if you book Daisy Hill for 3 nights. If you do that, the property is suitable for hosting up to 20 additional guests.

Where will I be?

Daisy Hill is located half way between Moss Vale and Fitzroy Falls on a sweeping bend of the Nowra Road. The front gate is 1km from the Mali Brae wedding venue and Moss Vale, Bowral, Robertson, Fitzroy Falls or Burrawang are all within easy driving distance of the property - generally surrounded by beautiful countryside as you drive.

Daisy Hill is a quintessential luxury farm stay experience - within easy driving distance of shops, cafes, wineries, bush walks, waterfalls and wedding venues. There is something about Daisy Hill! The setting, the trees, the garden, the views, the inviting lawnand the mid century style. You will see.

How is the property laid out?

Daisy Hill's accommodation comprises of a main house for 8 and a separate cottage within the garden for 2.

The main house is accessed via stairs to a full width deck that has lovely views of the rose garden and the countryside beyond. Once inside, the house is essentially on one level, with a step down only to the sunrooms, and some steps to access the outside (yet under cover) laundry and toilet. The house has 2 queen bedrooms (one with a private sun room), a generous bunk room with 4 x king singles beds, two bathrooms, a kitchen, breakfast room, dining room and a long lounge room with a lovely north facing aspect. The lounge / sunroom opens to a paved area and the huge garden.

The separate cottage has a kitchenette (no cooking facilities however), a queen bedroom, a sitting / tv room, and a private bathroom.

The kitchen is equipped with a coffee machine that is compatible with either ground coffee or ESE standard sachets. A reasonable supply of ESE sachets is provided for your stay, but BYO ground coffee or extra ESE standard sachets if you are a coffee addict!

WiFi, Netflix, Pay TV – will I have it?

Daisy Hill is located in a rural setting, so presently only has 4G internet, not NBN. Complimentary WiFi is available and a password will be provided in your pre-arrival email.

Please note however that neither The Holidays Collection nor the owner can guarantee 100% that the WiFi will work, and no compensation will be payable if problematic. This is especially the case at Daisy Hill which is in a rural setting.

If Wi-Fi is important, please therefore always have a back up plan.

What about outdoors?

Daisy Hill has beautiful gardens and a huge lawn area that surround the house. You are free to walk safely in any area that comprises the "house paddock" i.e. around the house, along the driveway(s), around the sheds and stables, and down to the front gate. If you go through a gate, please be aware that cattle may be about. You are free to explore the property, however you must close gates and must be wildlife aware especially in areas of long grass, or around dams.

Daisy Hill has a Weber BBQ with small gas bottle, and a firepit that guests are welcome to use.

Staying warm or keeping cool!

Daisy Hill has been modernised with fully ducted heating and air-conditioning.  The fireplace in the dining room is decorative only. The main house is also supplied with a pedestal fan for summer and an oil heater for winter - should either be needed. The cottage relies on an electric oil heater for warmth, and a pedestal fan for cooling. It can also be opened up to catch a breeze.

What about sheets, towels and other supplies?

High quality sheets and towels are provided at Daisy Hill.

Parking for cars, boats etc?

There is parking on the driveway areas around the main house for 3 - 4 vehicles. Guests may also park in any of the sheds if they prefer to have their car under cover.

Is my dog or cat also welcome to stay?

Daisy Hill is pet friendly, however as it is a working cattle farm, please only bring your dog if you are able to control it and stop it from chasing the cows or calves. Please also note:

- dogs to sleep in the outside laundry / bathroom at night
- bring your own dog bedding please
- please clean up after your dog
- any damages or excess cleaning will result in extra charges

What are the minimum stay rules?

- Summer Season: Between 2 and 7 nights, depending on the property
- Easter: 4 nights
- Long Weekends: 3 nights
- All other times: 2 nights

Are there any special Summer Season rules?

Please note that during Summer Season, our properties may have designated changeover days so as to make the cleaning rosters manageable. We also do not schedule arrivals on the Christmas, Boxing, and New Years Day public holidays.

Who will I be dealing with during my stay?

This property is professionally managed by a dedicated holiday rental agency with offices in Gerringong, Hyams Beach and Bowral. We have over 300 properties in Kiama, Gerringong, Gerroa, Berry, Huskisson, Vincentia, Hyams Beach, Kangaroo Valley and the Southern Highlands. We offer guests 24/7 customer service – emergency calls only after hours, please.

Lovely family farm stay

We stayed at Daisy Hill with our extended family with travel from Sydney and Canberra. The property was easy to find, well stocked and had lots of rooms to stretch out and relax. The bonus was the proximity to Fitzroy Falls. We would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful Property - A must stay!

We had a great stay at Daisy Hill. The property has been renovated beautifully, and you could tell that a lot of thought was put into styling the space, as it reflected the landscapes of the Southern Highlands. The rooms within the house are spacious and had all the amenities we needed. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend to others.

Daisy Hill ❤️

We chose Daisy Hill because of its proximity to Mali Brae wedding venue where our son was getting married. It was the perfect place for us all to relax and be together before the wedding and had the ideal space to prepare for the day and the property had so many opportunities for beautiful photos. Daisy Hill was spotlessly clean, well equipped with everything we could possibly need, plenty of space for our group of 10, making use of the cottage too. And we under estimated just how lovely it would be to sit out on the verandah and enjoy the views and watch the cows. Highly recommend
