"The beautiful property is secluded enough for relaxation, yet only 10 minutes from the grocer. The cabin is very well put together using what appears to be reclaimed/refurbished materials from the period. It has all the moderns of today with the feel of 'Grampa's Cabin'.We hope to make this our regular accommodations while visiting nearby family. Thanks for the memories!"

"Wonderful, open, spacious feel of a "camp" on the water, with all the amenities of your normal house!Beautiful view, and absolutely no noise, with great privacy!Bring anything you'll need for your stay, because you will not want to leave while you are there! (but if you forgot anything...Dollar General is a stone's throw on the main road!) Gas station close by, and Bobber's Bar and Grill, right on the main road.Loved the kayaking and swimming!We will be back!"

"If this is your type of getaway then it can only be five stars or 10/10 . It’s quiet , serene , and one of the most beautiful places I’ve personally been . Jerry takes care of you and is never seen .. which isn’t bad because you want to meet him by the time you leave . Thank you Jerry ! "Enjoyed the cabin, the walks along the lakes, and the feeling of being remote yet close enough to everything you need."

"This was a lovely, well stocked house in a beautiful location. I would definitely stay here again. The only mentionable con was the downstairs master bed was not very comfortable and extremely noisy anytime you made the slightest movement. My spouse and I ended up sleeping in separate bedrooms as a result. Luckily, there were multiple beds so it was an easy adjustment. Again, I’d stay here again despite the bed. Our family had a great getaway! "

"We have a huge blended family with 6 kids. Our oldest is getting married and the 2nd oldest is headed to college soon so, we planned a last minute family trip before the chaos begins. This place had it all. The view of the lake was gorgeous, the house was very clean with comfortable beds, and the hosts are so attentive and wonderful. If we weren’t fishing right off the attached docks, we were sitting around the campfire roasting marshmallows. Marina was only a couple seconds down the road....

"The place was great. We are a family of five, and had more than enough room. The large covered deck area on the lakeside was fantastic, and the additional paddle boards and kayaks were a nice bonus. The first floor is an open living/kitchen area, and there is a laundry room and full bath in the very back. The second floor has three full bedrooms, small living area and full bath. One of the rooms has a trundle bed, and the living room couch is a pull out bed. Lastly the top floor is the master...

"We really enjoyed our stay at Almost Heaven. It was clean and comfortable and very relaxing. The views were beautiful from every room, and the screened porch was perfect for reading a book and napping. We brought our boat, and the boathouse was nice and accessible. We hope to come back soon!"

"As a teacher conducting a field trip, this spot was a great. My family chaperoned with dogs, and the host was accomodating. I gave it 4/5 stars because it was cleaned for us right after another guest but there was a few cleanliness issues. The house is great and the host was accomodating. I recommend this location for one's consideration."

"This stay was perfect, and included full run of the upstairs portion of a house nestled in a nice neighborhood near the heart of Carrollton. The house was clean and provided much more than a couple of hotel rooms ... full kitchen, refrigerator, spacious, washer/dryer, and areas for our family was able to visit comfortably. If we find ourselves in Carrollton again, we'll definitely stay here."
