"This place was beautiful the kitchen had everything we needed. I would just suggest a little bit more light or brighter light i could barley see when i was cooking it was too dark (we cooked around 7ish) The grill wasn’t really cleaned when we got there but it worked fine. The environment was beautiful and peaceful. I would definitely come back. If you sleep upstairs I would suggest take a thick blanket or a heater it was really cold upstairs despite bringing the temp up! The hot tub was amazing...

"Property was maintained beautifully. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Very clean and orderly house. House flies kept appearing, however. Lots of books and games to entertain you. Fully equipped kitchen is a plus. Easy access to Thomas and Davis by car, or Thomas by foot path.The furnace fan motor was so loud the floor vibrated. Eventually noise disappeared. Internet router lost connectivity daily. I texted owner; no reply. Router looks old. Hauling out trash at end of stay was not...

"We’ve been coming to Davis for a long time but this was our first time staying in Black Bear. The Bear Lair was perfect for our stay. Clean, well decorated, well equipped kitchen, very comfortable beds, and plenty of firewood. The central location was great as we bounced between Dolly Sods, Timberline, White Grass and downtown Davis. Abby was super responsive and accommodating. We definitely plan to return. "

"First and foremost, the condo was clean and the beds were quite comfortable. I loved that it had a little balcony to enjoy my coffee in the morning and to view stars at night. It is in a beautiful setting and only 4 miles from Davis, where you can find places to eat. The location is ideal for visiting many natural areas and Blackwater State Park. It was very quiet the week we were there in early October too."

"It was the best!! With a family of 11, everyone had the time of their life. Teens stayed busy in the movie room, hot tub and playing games while adults watched football on the large screen tv, sat around fire pit, and cooked together in the well stocked kitchen. With five bedrooms there was plenty of room to just relax and read. Such a wonderful time we had. "

"The outside mountain views were amazing. There were deer in the area. The cabin was extremely clean and nice. It was decorated just right and made us feel at home. "Property was spectacular, the view was impressive. Everything you need in a home away from home, the area is filled with nature! Many hikes and exploring then back to the house to relax and take in the awesome view. Short ride to Blackwater Falls and Canaan Valley state parks. "Bom para passar a noite. Bom custo/beneficio, mas precisa de um update urgente. As instalações já estão muito desgastadas. Problemas com a descarga do banheiro. Cheiro de umidade nos quartos. Café da manhã muito simples. Já fiquei nesse hotel outras vezes e acho que está decadente. "
