Cute Apartment 3 minutes from the Beach

Husky Hideaway is a fantastic 6 apartment building located in West End. This top floor garden / road facing apartment apartment has a large living room and kitchen plus a bedroom with a queen bed and ensuite bathroom. There is AC throughout.

Located in the Mangrove Bite side of West End, this quiet area is a perfect location. It is less than a 3 minute walk to Half Moon Bay Beach and the world famous Sun Downer's Bar. There are also at least 30 other restaurants within a 10 minute walk of the condo plus dive shops, bars, beaches, and even a sail boat turned rope swing within a short walking distance.

Electricity is not included in the rate.

Guests have full access to the apartment plus access to the shared washer and dryer

The rate for your dates does not include electricity. It does include all taxes, fees, wireless internet, and drinking water.

Electricity is quite expensive on Roatan. So Instead of charging fees for laundry, A/C , and so forth, it is easier and fairer to charge to for electricity instead. We read the meter at check-in and check-out, subtract the allowance, and use the previous month's bill to determine the charge per kilowatt hour. This amount is deducted from your security deposit.

We found that including electricity in the price made people want to get their money's worth by leaving the A/Cs constantly on at full blast and every light in the place on. Not only is it eco unfriendly, it meant we had to tack on an extra $200 / week to the rental rate.


We have a fantastic year round breeze that comes straight through the apartment if you leave the windows open.

If you are energy aware and only use the AC only at night, I would say the electricity will be around $5 - $10/ day.

We are on an island off the coast of Honduras. We have frequent power, internet, and water outages that are outside of our control. It is the price of living in paradise. No refunds will be given in the event of any utility outages beyond our control.
