Ocean's Reach offers a super-swish seaside stay, where top-notch interiors & creature-comforts come by the bucket & spade-load. With Southbourne's sandy shore, and the cafe - lined High Street, both just a 2 minute stroll away, you really are spoilt for choice!

After a day of swimming, paddling or Pilates on your blue flag beach, head home to relax & re-fuel in style. Laced with top-spec additions & restored period features; every room oozes grounded-glamour.

Expect a wow moment in the kitchen/diner, which really is a feast for the eyes… The uber-sleek and spacious design here means a mojito or two is surely on the cards around the island; but for alfresco dinner & drinks, just open those gorgeous Crittall doors!

If you don't feel like cooking, Southbourne High Street offers a smorgasbord of international delicacies, and the buzzy atmosphere makes it a must to sample during your stay. For those of you that just can't keep away, then head back to the clifftops to reveal stunning sunset vistas over the sea and head down to the beach for the Sobo experience - you won't regret it.

After a busy day, we'd highly recommend curling up in the living room for a movie, before taking your late night chatter into the snug… both spots boast roaring fireplaces and hotel-worthy design. When you're ready to recline, everybody gets a first class bedroom, and the HUGE marble family bathrooms (one on both floors!) add to the ultra-luxe, spa feel. It's time to unwind….

INSIDE

First impressions count, and from the second you set foot on the mosaic tiles & handsome hallway, the scene has certainly been set!

Your light-filled and lustrous kitchen-diner awaits through double crystal doors, offering a space that's chic, sleek, and full of treats in equal measures…From the showstopper marble island, to the huge wine fridge, the filtered-hot water tap, the double oven, and the bespoke larder/coffee station; everything feels grand & spoily. No stone has been left unturned to make feasting a first class experience.

The adjoining dining area is framed by a matching pair of Crittall doors, creating a gorgeous backdrop, and allowing for meals to be enjoyed with a side of sunshine. Whatever the weather, electric blinds & underfloor heating make climate control a cinch.

With two living areas to choose from; stunning original artworks, jewel tones, and squishy sofas make both feel equally as cocooned and cosy… In the main lounge, a beautifully restored open fireplace creates a magical ambience for family nights (the herringbone brick demonstrates craftsmanship as its finest); whilst the snug offers a TV-free space where you can really switch-off, and delve into the book-filled alcoves & games.

Upstairs, you'll find a stunning master bedroom with ensuite, a tranquil king size bedroom and the first of the two family bathrooms. A further two lovely bedrooms (one twin and one king) are found on the second floor. Whilst each room has floor-to-ceiling blackout curtains & 100% wool carpets, the icing on the cake has to be the stunning family bathrooms, crafted from top-to-toe marble and dressed to impress with handcrafted Lusso suites. As humans bed down in luxury on the top two floors, pets have a squishy sofa in the hallway to snooze on & everyone is seriously pampered!

This home is a true labour of love with considerate extras such as the vast downstairs storage cupboard and the hidden washing machine & tumble dryer cupboard (as practical as it is Pinterest-worthy) in the first floor bathroom! This place feels beyond five star.

Kids' Stuff: A travel cot dimensions - W60 x L105 x D4cm (Phil & Teds V5 Traveller Travel Crib). A high chairs and children's crockery & cutlery are available + there is a fab array of games on offer plus a ball pit.

Pets: A dog is welcome in the downstairs area here - with a small charge per dog, per stay.


OUTSIDE

After a day at the beach, your south west-facing garden is just the spot to dry out with a glass of something in-hand …

The blend of patio & manicured lawn feel elegant, whilst the pleached trees help to create a private sanctuary (flowering in abundance during the early summer, followed by dark berries in later months).

In true Southbourne spirit, alfresco dining is encouraged at every opportunity, and the impressive Traeger Ironwood & Wood Pellet BBQ is at-the-ready for cooking up something hearty. You'll soak up maximum sunshine out here, but should you wish to relax in shade, the huge parasol can cover the entire patio.

After a good feed around the outdoor dining table, we'd recommend testing out the supersized loungers for a catnap come back to stargaze later!

If you are driving down, there is plenty of space for two cars to park on the driveway, and Pokesdown train station is only 10 minutes away, if you are looking to go car-free.


Garden: Garden dining table & chairs / Sun loungers / Traeger Ironwood & Wood Pellet BBQ.

Parking: Off street parking for two cars on the driveway (three might be possible at a squeeze) plus free street parking for any extra vehicles.

Vehicle charging is possible via the mains electricity in the property. At the time of booking, you will be required to select how many electric vehicles you will be charging during your stay; as a £35 surcharge is applicable for each EV car per booking.


HOME TRUTHS

- Dogs are welcome on the ground floor.

- For security reasons there is a camera installed outside of the property.

- There is an extra charge for logs and kindling to burn on the fire (October- March) but feel free to BYO!
