Nice stay in west Cambridge
Shorter than originally planned, we had a short stay in this apartment on the second floor that n the owners private house. Well equipped pantry, nice neighborhood and nice host. A little hard to find when we arrived in the dark. Walking distance (2 km) to Harvard sq and possible to use public transport but easier with own/hired car. Would consider again if I visit the Boston area.

Victor is an excellent host, and the apartment was perfect for our needs. There is some ambient noise, normal for an area like Cambridge. Everything was very clean and comfortable, communication was excellent, checkin was easy and Victor is an amiable host. We will check availability here anytime we're back in the area.

Visiting Boston
I stayed for 3 days to visit my daughter in Harvard and my son, 10th grade had a plan visiting other colleges in Boston. We really enjoyed staying there; close to Harvard square, everything that I needed, and very clean. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Boston.

A relaxing space during a difficult time
I sought a pet-friendly haven during a week-long visit to Cambridge. The purpose of my visit was to attend a funeral, so having a place where I could relax alone in the evenings was important. The studio is cozy, and perfectly suited my needs: a comfortable bed and a desk, windows looking out onto trees, a bathroom with a shower massage, and a small but practical kitchen where I prepared myself all kinds of meals in the morning and evening. Being vegan, it meant a great deal to know I did not have to scrounge around for food I could eat. Other reviewers have noted that the street the studio overlooks is a busy one, and this is true. There is a constant whooshing of traffic, but not much in the way of sirens or honking. I found it did not disturb my sleep or composure at all. And I will add that this is generally the price of convenience: I was a five-minute walk from Fresh Pond Park, where my dog delighted to run, where I had pleasure birdwatching and chatting with other dog walkers; I was a short drive from Boston proper, but also from the funeral home, a coffee shop, and a grocery. The easiness of my stay made the sound of wheels on the street a story below irrelevant. The host lives in the house, and I spoke with him twice, just to say hello. He was friendly and asked if I was comfortable or needed anything. It was good to know there were others nearby I could call on in case of a problem. I highly recommend the host and the studio.

The apt was suitable for 2 people. While the kitchen was small, the appliances satisfied our limited morning needs. Would recommend some type of drain board and ensure that paper towels are present at check in.

Harvard/Boston visit
A great value for a comfortable stay in the Boston area. We chose Cambridge as it seemed a little less hectic and more affordable. Victor's apt is just as described; with info on using the apt facilities (heat, air, fold out couch, etc.) and local transit and services info. Metro station is at nearby Harvard Square with easy access to Boston. Harvard University tour was interesting and informative. a laundry and Star Market is nearby for food,paper towels, napkins, etc. Gourmet food shop (Fromaggios) is nearby. It was perfect for us.

Unit was just as explained and picture, Was cleaned and prepared nicely. Could use light in front to light up at night. blind drive way on slightly busy street at time. Use both driveways does help

Property exactly as described. It is on a busy street as was noted so the ability to pull out forward was very helpful. Comfortable and clean and conveniently located. Would stay there again!

Lovely and convenient
We loved our stay here. It’s a great place for 2 at best with easy access to Harvard Square, Boston, and other locations in the area. Victor and his wife were available for assistance and guidance, and are quite friendly. The street is busy so there is a lot of traffic noise if the windows are open. We would definitely stay here again.

I was happy with this property. It was convenient to public transportation and a short walk to a grocery, pharmacy, and coffee. The outside stair was a little inconvenient for my wife who had suffered a stroke in the past year. We managed and enjoyed our stay.

Everything we needed
The studio apartment was conveniently located and had everything we needed for a weekend stay. Surprisingly quiet, given that the street is four lanes and quite busy, although residential, and warm inside while it was below zero outside.

Near Fresh Pond
The nearby Fresh Pond park is great for running and biking. The living space is ample for one or two people. It’s on a busy road. The kitchen lacks counter space. I thrifted several pieces of cookware that I left there, so it is now pretty well equipped. The owners are nice and helpful.

This is the spot!
This place was absolutely perfect for myself and my husband on our 10th wedding anniversary trip. It had more than we needed because had brought non-cookable items to eat for breakfast and dined out for dinner. It was good knowing if we had decided to cook something it was still an option. The location was excellent. I loved that there was a window unit for AC! It was not terribly hot during our stay but I like to sleep in very cold temps. The bed was super comfortable. Never met Victor face to face but he was always very friendly when corresponding and rather quick when responding! If I ever find my way up to the Boston area I couldn’t imagine staying anywhere else.

I would highly recommend this property. It was perfect for our needs. We loved the porch and the doors that separated the space. The kitchen provided everything we needed to prepare meals in the space. There were plenty of linens and towels.

Great location
It is a cosy apartment with a convenient location - close to mass transit, parks and Harvard square. Don’t count on the laundry though, was not available when I needed it during the evening and early in the morning. Apartment itself could have been a lot cleaner - found dirty socks from the previous renter right next to the dresser and the floor was too grimy to walk barefoot. Beds were very comfortable and linens were clean Though. The location was really convenient for where we needed to go - so served our purpose really well!

A small condo, Extremely NOISY, close to bus stops, minimum amenities
My friend and I stayed for three nights. The condo faces to SUPER busy road, the busy traffic starts from around 5 am to 11 pm. Plus, a high beep was constantly going off all day and all night long, which eventually someone fixed it. I couldn't sleep on the night, but after that we were able to get some sleep only because we were tired from walking around the town all day long. We didn't use the kitchen or the fridge at all, but if you plan to cook, you'd need pretty much everything, oil, seasoning, etc. There are only two cups and two glasses, and a tiny table, which is not for four guests. After raining one day, it got much cooler and we needed to warm up the condo, but we couldn't find any facility. Next day, we found the round thing on the wall, which we eventually figured out it was a heater. It'd have helped if the owner had told us how to use it beforehand. The owner was not in the house, but in Maine, quick to respond to our questions. The condo is close to the bus stops, but Harvard square is only 20 min to walk in the pretty and safe neighbourhood.

Well-equipped apartment
The apartment is relatively small, but it is well-equipped with all the amenities we needed for our stay. Victor's detailed instructions about everything were very helpful. Wi-fi worked great. The apartment was thoughtfully designed & furnished -- plenty of hooks to hang towels, shelf space for misc items, nice cookware and cooking utensils, great track lighting, convenient combination lock on the door, etc. Also had soap, shampoo, paper towels, foil/wrap, dish soap, basic spices, etc. Lots of books on the bookshelf (though we didn't have time to read any of them). We enjoyed our stay in Cambridge.

Confortable mais bruyant
Le studio est grand et confortable. Situé à 30 minutes du centre de Boston en métro puis en bus dans un quartier agréable. Cependant le studio est très bruyant avec une route à quatre voies qui passe sous les fenêtres. Le premier commerce est à 15 minutes à pied. Nous n'avons pas vu le propriétaire.

Good, convenient location in nice neighborhood. The apartment is very small - smaller than a typical hotel room. We had four people staying in the apartment, which was very cramped, though it would probably be fine for just two people. The apartment is part of a larger house, which is a bit run-down. The apartment wasn't as well equipped as most HomeAway apartments that I have stayed in but it does have all of the basics.

Cozy good location
The upper apartment was cozy and very functional. We ate out and cooked in. Easy walk to the Charles River and fresh lake. We enjoyed the deck. AC was a godsend. Victor was helpful when we had some internet issues. Walk from Harvard was a bit of a hike, but very doable and interesting looking at the historical houses.

Clean "bachelor pad" on noisy, super-busy street, with no amenities except a/c in bdrm
Host nice on phone, son @ property. Postage-stamp "kitchen" with very few dishes or utensils. We hoped for a few basics as in a bit of olive oil, mustard, salt & pepper to help the weary traveler. Only one towel per person, we had a two-night stay. If you have hair on your head, you may need two towels. You have to walk up a bunch of stairs to get to your door from the outside deck; the motion sensor comes on every time any of the other downstairs guests come out-- all night. Comfy double bed but there was smell of dog in the place (there had been a dog the night before..,) We just tried to be gone a lot for the 3 days.
